I know that in Leviticus it lists all the sexual "no-no's"... but I'm unaware of any "rules" against masturbation. Maybe I misread or read over that bit of info...

Off hand (well, let me phrase that differently) ... without looking up the answer I'll say that it does condemn it for men (possibly) but not for women. Onan allegedly was a very bad man because he spilled his seed on the ground rather than completing an act of sexual intercourse until climax. Some say that this means that any time a guy spills his seed he's wrong and thus masturbation (at least until climax) is wrong. Others say it doesn't mean that. the Bible's a vague book easy to interpret many ways. But I don't know of any passages saying it's wrong for a woman. I'm absolutely certain that there are plenty of attempts by the religious zealots to read various passages out of context or alter the meanings of other passages so as to make it a sin. It's the sort of thing they can't abide.

i've got on no account considered a resounding argument that the Bible prohibits it. The arguments that I truly have considered, like the only on the Ex-Masturbator marketing campaign internet site appropriate decrease than, boil right down to a pair style of "all of us is conscious masturbation is intercourse," and then clarify why intercourse outdoors of marriage, and as a result masturbation, is supposedly prohibited by the Bible. there is likewise a controversy that masturbation is a "gateway" sin that leads you to have fantasies, which fall decrease than the umbrella of lusting on your heart. i do no longer locate the two argument somewhat persuasive.

No. But it does mention God being unhappy with ( I forget who ) who spilled his seed. That's where it comes from. But if we look at it in context, as all scripture should be, we find God was angry at a mans brother who did not begat children by the mans wife after the man died. It was a law or culture thing of the time and God was not happy that the brother was wronged.

The Bible warns of not letting ones seed fall on the ground. It does not say snything about how may times you can waste your seed before you have none left, but it is implied and true.

Any and all sex is a giving of yourself to another (Husband and wife)

Any sexual gratification that is simply for selfish pleasure, not in accord with God's will in giving yourself to your spouse, is gravely disordered and should not be done.

Sex is good and is to be enjoyed but it is not about you..its about giving yourself to someone else and inside of a marriage blessed by God.

generally, the bible says that anything that separates you from the presence of God is sinful. the flesh is a weak point for humans, God knows that. Lev. is old testament, find out what Jesus has to say about sins of the flesh. we live in new testament times.

Somewhere in the bible it says "it is better to cast your seeds into the belly of a whore than it is to cast them on the ground" although it does not say that it is wrong.
