He probably was. It's stupid to think that Jesus was a virgin all of his life (unless you're a fundamentalist who thinks sex is a sin). Mary Magdalene was called a whore by the early church fathers because they did not like her close relationship with Jesus. They were jealous and furious that a woman could get that close to him. It's just another classic case of men suppressing women.

Go Mary!

Why should it? Religion is man's attempt to define the undefinable. I know Tao gets into this a little more and the Buddha claims to be just a man, but I think the end goal of all religion is to strive to a higher form of spirituality, if you get value from Christianity that is a good thing. Remember the true Jihad is within!... I do claim Christianity, but this is how I was raised and I do get value out of other religions as well. An interesting idea from the east is that you can be a Buddha, Confucius and a Taoist. In other words it is not wrong to be a Jew and a Catholic and a Muslim. And the DeVinci Code is just a story with some implications of truth as every good piece of fiction is. Hope that helps.

Just because mary magdelen was a hooker doesn't mean that she is comdemned to hell because even though all the people in the town wanted to kill her by throwing rocks at her, jesus forgave her and loved her anyway when nobody else would. If Jesus married Mary M. Then Mary Christ! I speak to my brethren in the midst of unbelievers who have not tasted of the heavenly gift and are ignorant of heavenly things that they cannot see with mortal eyes.
Peace!

Mary Mageelene?

If these two had children and they had children and so on right up to the present day, wouldn't all these offspring of the messiah have had an effect of some type on the world before now?

Ok, to answer the question... No it wouldn't change my opinion of christianity.

The Gnostics wrote that that some of the disciples complained about Jesus "kissing Mary on the mouth". Things like that only matter to the fanatics.

I think a little different than most anyhow. What is the big deal if he was married. With all this going around, you would think that marriage was a sin. Good decent people can be married and preach the word of God. Just like Jesus

Yes it would. But then again, this is a hypothesis contrary to fact. Rather than waste time answering a speculation, why don't you consider your own belief based on the FACT that Jesus was not married and in fact was not what the Da Vinci Code says He was?

No, but it would put into question every single thing the curch has ever said bringing people to wonder how many times they had been lied to by people who are comlpetely against lying, making the church hypocrites, of course If Jesus was married.
