This seems to be a common statement. Is this not absurd logic? Using that argument, they must also think, for example, hitler was right too, seeing as he had so many followers?

If you DON'T use this feeble argument, the questions is not aimed at you.

Go on, I KNOW some you christians are just gagging to judge, slander and express your surpressed anger at the slightest hint of someone you perceive could be trying to knock your faith. I truly want to know the logic behind this, but feel free to slag me off as you do, I really don't mind. Honest! In fact, I'm empowered by it! It shows to me your ignorance and lack of faith.

To those who don't have a go, well done for upholding your beliefs through thick and thin, although I may not agree with them, you deserves respect for your disipline and strength of character.

England is currently hot and my family are well, thank you '........'.
No, I didn't feel this way when I was christian.
So are you gonna leave me in the dark or email me your ID? (smile)

Желтый Углерод, you are right. You do not sense anger or hate though, simply frustration manifested into a 'slightly' antagonistic question.
But those who rise to it are those who need to be taught not to rise to such things.
(c'mon, I did make it harder for them to be baited, by my statement regarding respect, etc!)

Hmm. Ok '...............', if your anonimity means that much, I shall not request your identity again.
I do wonder why you feel it necessary though, considering you feel you know me.
Ah well. Ke Serra! If you're a friend, bode well. If an enemy, well done.

I sit here pondering whether or not I should give an answer. There is the possibility that simply because I am sharing my mind, you shall consider me ignorant and faithless. But, why should I allow you to call me these things when I know that I am neither? Okay, I do have moments, but who doesn't? Can you always have faith in the chair that you are sitting in? Do you always notice every single person walking past you on the street? Doubtful. So, I shall continue and answer, now that I have that formality out of the way...not really a formality, but I shall call it so for lack of a better word.

Strength in numbers. That's what some have said. Others have said that it's quality, not quantity. Which is it? Or could it be neither? I believe that Christianity is "legit" (once again, lack of a better word) because I feel it in my heart. No, I do not have high blood pressure or a heart murmur or anything. I have God. Now, I could say that I would believe, even if no one else I knew believed, but then, I would probably be telling a fib. If that was the case, then I probably wouldn't even know. But, I do know. And I know not only in my head, but, as I said, in my heart. I see the evidence of God when I look out my window, trees, grass, stars. Numbers can't prove existence. Only pure existence can prove that there was existence before.

I know that this probably didn't really answer your question. My greatest apologies on that level. But, maybe it will help you think about something. Who knows.

I am not historian, however in the case of germany, I believe that the people were seeking a leader, one who they believed could make them a strong nation again ... and as things go, in the absence of real leadership, people will follow who ever best throws the wool over their eyes, enter one of the greatest evils.

I am confused though, I do not understand why it is that when I read your message I actually feel a twinge of anger or possibly hate, almost like your looking for a fight.

If you are genuienly asking a question out of insight to obtain knowledge, that is not the way to achive the best results. You win more flies with honey ... but hey, what do I know....

My 2 cents.

You're right. There is the general assumption that the more people support an idea, the better it is. This happens on television, too, where shows with the highest ratings are thought to be the best. But it's obvious that's false.

There's a website I particularly like, because it takes all these ridiculous arguments and renders them down to their simplest form, so you can see how ridiculous they are.

This one is number 19

ARGUMENT FROM NUMBERS
(1) Millions and millions of people believe in God.
(2) They can't all be wrong, can they?
(3) Therefore, God exists.

I am a Believer because I chose to be
I can not in my mind chose a religion because it is in fashion at the time
Everyone has a choice in their religion if you don't agree with me then don't
If you do then great
but I nor anyone else can shove a religion down anyones throat
