Isn't it apparent? He sent her away so that he could fetch some beer.
In a world where two humans wearing leaves to cover up their crotches so that they are not exposed to the other person which could result in the galvanisation of sexual passion which is totally normal but forbidden by a God that is stupid enough to watch the movie over and over even though he knows exactly how it'll end and that still talks about free will, there will be beer cans growing on trees.
Oh there is another possibility - she could have swam the ocean and reached North America where she bred with an ape and formed a cult that believes in snake poisons that make you shift planes (that familiar to me somehow; "ride the snake" :D ). Now the descendants of the ape run amok among us because Adam was a loser.

If one is to believe that: "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them" indicates that Adam had a wife before Eve, then the story roughly goes like this.
Lilith refuses to assume a subservient role to Adam during sexual intercourse and deserts him ("She said, 'I will not lie below,' and he said, 'I will not lie beneath you, but only on top. For you are fit only to be in the bottom position, while I am to be the superior one.'"). Lilith says the name of G*d, leaves the Garden, and settles on the Red Sea coast.
From there she starts screwing Samael and various other demons, and goes on to have demon kids.
Edit:
It really amuses me that the people who posted after me called you stupid for asking this. I guess the laugh is on them.

THERE IS NO PROOF THAT A PERSON BY THE NAME OF LILITH WAS EVER MARRIED TO ADAM. THE ONLY PERSON KNOWN TO HAVE BEEN HIS WIFE WAS EVE.

According to the story she left to go to the seashore and mate with demons, and having given birth to more demons became the Mother of Demons basically.
However the story is not canon in either Hebrew nor Christian lore.
