Isaiah 40:22 says, “God sits above the circle of the earth."

See, the bible proves that the earth is a 2D circle as in a flat shape, not a 3D sphere like those daemon possessed scientist believe in their wacky theories that they try to preach to our children in the public schools.

Let God be true, and every man a liar,
Amen

ppl in ancient times had real good imagination and creativity!! Can you imagine all the fables and fairytales they came up with? Wowow!! Put all the fairytales together in a book(s) called "Bible" , "Koran" etc.

If so, how do you explain it? Did you just tune into the vibe of the universal process? Does the future really already exist, and freedom is an illusion? Did you *make* the future happen that you foresaw?

A team cant even pray before a high school game. Let alone, even say "Merry Christmas" because it has the words Christ in it.

What the heck!!! if religion doesnt mean anything to you, then why care about it??

As they sacrificed baby sheep, goats, etc. and sprinkled their blood around like a bunch of witches! LOL, yeah, I'm so sure they felt sorry for the animals!!!
just admit the bible was written by primitive men who did disgusting things, killed animals, women, children and babies and didn't even bat an eye. God must be a cruel character if he condones such brutality.
Please read the numerous times in your bible that God himself sent in to rip children to 'shreds", cut open pregnant women, kill all baby boys, etc....... , never mind the animals!

As we age and learn do we more often pick apart and examine everything we were raised with; ie society, politics, theology...?

I've read in some answers how people say that they love and respect animals so much, yet, they'll eat a hamburger at the drop of a pin. Or how they'll never cause suffering to any human or animal, (as they eat their whoppers). Don't people know that by eating meat, they're supporting these horrific slaughter houses that cause immense suffering and fear and pain to millions of animals..just to satisfy our taste buds? Where's the respect and compassion? Or do we just pick and choose what to respect and what to feel compassion for? To satisfy our own sense desires? Any thoughts on these things?

Mr. Misters answer was just ridiculous as he grabbed whatever scripture he wanted and tried to twist it to fit what he wanted.
All you christians take it from the atheist. You will never ever bring anyone to your side by quoting scripture and being abusive. All it does is turn people off. My best christian friends do neither of these things. I don't agree with their choice but I do respect the fact that they live what they believe as they respect me for what I believe. We still talk and they still invite me to their churches from time to time. I don't argue with them about this. I just respectively decline the invitation and we move on to something else.
Just a personal observation. I have seen christians being mean, lying and cheating other people. They seem to feel justified in any of these things because they feel they can get forgiveness from god before they go to sleep at night.

We've been buddies for seven years and are about to start college together. We go to church together! What's going to happen to him? It doesn't bother ME that he's gay, but are people gonna think I'm gay too? I never had to deal with something like this. I live in a small town and never met a gay person before.

And I don't think he's a bad person, but what if the people at church are jerks to him? What should I do then?

Also, he's slept with a girl before. So is he really gay? I have no idea how to handle this type of thing.

James Randi offered Sylvia Browne his million dollar challenge to prove she is a psychic medium. In anger she agreed but then never took it. She is posted all over his web site. I think it is foolish of him because no matter what any one offers him for proof he will denie it. What are your thoughts?

Honestly! I am sick and tired of seeing all these impersonators asking dumb questions! I'm on a campaign to get rid of them all! Who's with me? Report them for impersonating! It's rude and dis-respectful!

I am only wondering what Bible-believing Christians have to say about this - no offense to athiests, etc.

If Jesus died for everyone, and salvation is entirely of God, does it logically follow that anyone could possibly go to hell under any circumstances?
If you say, "But you have to accept Jesus," then salvation is not entirely from God, it is from cooperation between God and man... and if this is the case, why does one person accept Him and another not accept? Again, that goes back to all God, or else you have to say 'man,' and then salvation is not only of God again.

It seems that you can only say, "Jesus didn't die for everyone," "everyone is saved/no one goes to hell," or "salvation is not ONLY of the Lord." Which do you choose? Can you think of a fourth option?
