We are doing a great job with our knowing right from wrong, our basic "goodness" aren't we? As for myself, I was a sociopath for a good part of my life. You would have walked to the other side of the street if I came near. We know crap!

God Bless

I'd like to throw this question out to those more versed in the Scriptures than myself. Is there anywhere in the Bible that says that the father (or parents)is(are)the head of the child? I've never found it and from my understanding of what headship is it seems that the use of the term wouldn't quite fit. If anyone knows if it is anywhere in there could you let me know?

What would be wrong with introducing our children to all faiths & belief systems including those who choose not to adhere to any, and then let them decide?? Maybe when they turn a certain age, 16 or 18?? If nothing else they would be better educated and therefore able to deal with differing opinions....Let me know what you think about this.........

an honest question about god or religion and is truley looking for an answer than how could they possibly get it with out being ridiculed or being otherwise assulted on here? it seems to me that there are just way to many people who think that just because you don't know something you must be of limited intelligence.

My cousin tells me that President Bush signed this thing so that everyone on 2008 has to get this chip somewhere in their body so that in can be scanned and people can identify you and if you refuse the chip and get killed for it you go to heaven and I'm am just plain confused about the rapture and the mark of the beast.

What do I do? My wife got one of those chips put in him that will let you id him if he is lost. I think this is the mark on head or hand that the bible talks about.

Countless movies have been made about "Satan", fulfillment of biblical prophecies about those proverbial "end times", antichrists and the gates of "hell", etc. Two examples of silly 'end-times' movies: in "Lost Souls" Winona Ryder knew the exact time and place the antichrist had been born. In "Omen: The Final Conflict", three stars converged in Pleiades to mark the day and place of the (new) birth of 'the Christ child'. I've seen a couple of films that mention quotes supposedly from the Book of Revelation that aren't anywhere in the bible.

Personally I find religion-flavored movies about "Satan", 'the rapture' and the end of the world, etc., an insult to human intelligence, but how's by you -- which are the silliest, funniest, most insulting or annoying movies of this genre, in your opinion?

So there in lies the real truth-I am up here because I see the most beautiful thing in my life being lost to the madness that religions have created-Our Mother Earth-and it is this continual Hate caused by "I am saved" attitude that is killing the planet-I am considerably well read have studied numerous religions-cultures-and volunteered numerous hours-not to offend but to learn on how to improve-because it is my hope to leave this world a better place for my having been here-not to think (as religions teach) that there is a better place-and perhaps my answer to you was in response to seeing friends and relatives that have lost their lives-and limbs trying to give the world into capable hands-YOURS-if you are able to abide by the laws set forth by OUR MOTHER-and she can be one hellofaMother-but needs people to let lose of this manmade religious righteousness that is causing her to lose-and why? Because the Bible has already told these people that the world will end and so they believe it and will not wake-up but are satisfied that she is a done deal-Not so says I-and many more-that have faith not in Gods but in Mankind-to do the work needed to bring her back from the brink she is now on! I had a wonderful childhood and I will work hard in my life to see that the love my parents brought me into this world to explore is one that the children of the world can adore! That's Why!

You've got a child. Your child is busy running around, attacking and hurting other children. You have the power to stop your child, but you just idly watch from the sidelines. Another person says, Why don't you stop your child?' and you shrug and say, 'My child has free will. I told him the rules once. I'm going to punish him many, many years later.'

Would you be a worthy parent? Would Child Support be able to take away your child?

Okay, a couple nights ago I was lying in bed wide awake, and I started to see blue lights flashing in my room. They weren't big though. They would come and go to different parts of the room. Do you know what it looks like to see lightening bugs when it's dark outside? Well, it was like that, but blue. Then I started hearing screaming in my hear and it became so intense that I had to run downstairs. The lights were getting more intense as well. I ran downstairs and started crying, but the screaming wasn't going away. After awhile, I started to hear a conversation going on between two people, but I couldn't make out what anybody was saying. I eventually calmed down and fell asleep, but the screaming never went away. I just learned to ignore it. I even heard the screaming the next morning when I woke up. My family thought that someone could have slipped LSD in my food, but would the affects of the drug last for days? Other than drugs, what could have made me have a hallucination?

My guess is within a few years. Some companies are already doing it to their employees. With the introduction to the Patriot Act, anything is possible. They'll just convince the people it's a defense against terrorism.

Seriously, they are children's books. The witchcraft and wizardry they describe are obviously fictional to anyone who reads them. They actually are full of good lessons of freindship, loyalty, and doing the right thing in times of great tragedy.

So why is it that every time i find one of these nutty hard nosed christian sites there is invariably a link to an article on how Harry Potter is evil? Have they even read the books themselves or seen the movies?
