Countless movies have been made about "Satan", fulfillment of biblical prophecies about those proverbial "end times", antichrists and the gates of "hell", etc. Two examples of silly 'end-times' movies: in "Lost Souls" Winona Ryder knew the exact time and place the antichrist had been born. In "Omen: The Final Conflict", three stars converged in Pleiades to mark the day and place of the (new) birth of 'the Christ child'. I've seen a couple of films that mention quotes supposedly from the Book of Revelation that aren't anywhere in the bible.

Personally I find religion-flavored movies about "Satan", 'the rapture' and the end of the world, etc., an insult to human intelligence, but how's by you -- which are the silliest, funniest, most insulting or annoying movies of this genre, in your opinion?

I dunno, but the absolute best is a book, not a movie, though it would make a great movie, called Good Omens by Neil Geiman. It's based on the Omen though. But much better. Really funny, but it's supposed to be.

The left behind series of books. I never read them but the premise is stupid. What would the world be like after the rapture. As to the movies .... There is a B grade movie called Natas Ranch, get it Natas-Satan....I didn't know he was a cowboy...

Too many to list, honey. :-)

I think it's hilarious it when people get bent out of shape about a movie. I knew a guy in college who hated "The Seventh Sign" with Demi Moore so much that he owned the video and would invite people over to watch it and tear it apart. He called it a "bastardization of the Bible". I just thought it was a stupid movie. Sheesh.

Many of the ones mentioned come to mind, I have to bet the Left Behind series is a hoot.

If you ever want to see a good one, check out "The Rapture". Mimi Rodgers, David Duchkovny, threesomes, searching questions.

one was on tv a few days ago, it was about a girl and how her son was the antichrist and this ex cop who is an atheist has to help her.
i thought it was insulting that they said the cop was an atheist after his wife and daughter died.
ive been through a lot of **** but that has nothing to do with me not believing in Dog(God)lol

They're all so stupid it's hard to pick a 'worst in class'. I kind of liked the Devil's Advocate even though it was stupid as hell, just because it was kind of sexy and had an unexpected twist at the end.

Constantine was thoroughly enjoyable and I'm not religious or Catholic. I think of it more as sci-fi. And I get to look at Keanu Reeves for a couple hours lol.
