In my answering of Questions, I try to give a complete and cognitive answer. I do not employ character assassination or ridicule someone for asking an earnest question. I have tweaked certain people who come here with an agenda, that is, to show up Christians, to try to show how "stupid" we are. It is those individuals that I like to toy with a bit. I don't know if I have ever answered any of your questions, but I would hope that I answered in a lucid manner that was respectful and honest. Please keep in mind that we are saved, but not perfect. That we still have feet of clay and stumble from time to time. Also, some may be more mature than others. If I answer one of your questions, I will show you respect, and I ask you do the same in the questions you ask, agreed?

I don't know. People sometimes aren't really that nice or informative either.
A suggestion is find an answer that you like and go to that persons Q&A. See if there are any other questions that they answered that interest you. If you want further communication then shoot them an e-mail.
I have many times. Take care - and don't let anyone dissuade you from asking what it is you want to.
Also, one last thought - I found that doing this during times that the rest of the world is awake vs. just the USA gives more diverse and interesting answers. I like to hear from folks in Europe and Australia and India - they have some really good decent thoughts and comments.

Do you consider yourself to be a good person? Most people do. Of all the questions you will ask yourself in life, probably the most important is, Am I good enough to go to Heaven? Let's see if you are good enough...Have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Ever stolen (anything--the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions, by your own admission, you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments. That's how God sees you. Nothing is hid from His holy eyes. He will even judge our words and thoughts. Perhaps you think that God is good, and will therefore overlook your sins. But it is His goodness that will make sure that murderers, rapists, thieves, liars, etc. receive justice. Will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? Listen to your conscience. There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. If you die in your sins there is no second chance. God's Law demands justice, and the penalty for sinning against Him is death and Hell. God will give justice, and sinners will end up in Hell forever. Repent! Repent! Repent!

why so many unhappy believers? because these people have been told for so many years what to believe. they have not been given any information to make up their own minds. in my opinion, any organization that doesn't want you to think for your self or ask questions is a cult. these people have been brainwashed. it's not their fault. it was bred into them.
i don't believe it is a 'limited intellegence' thing, but more of a 'limited learning' thing. some people don't believe in seeing anything other than their 'own back yard'. they don't want to or are too scared to understand anything than what they've been told.
i was raised catholic. i went to church once in a while with a friend of mine to a penticostal church. went to a lutheran church. went to a prodistant church. i learned that we all have the same basic principals.
do the best you can. look out for those less fortunate. what comes around goes around. do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

I think many people are offended (or embarrassed by) discussions of religion and spirituality because they have not come to grips with it themselves. So rather then true discussions they ridicule..
I am one that forces people to think about their belief system critically.. I've had to myself. Without doing so, our faith is often based on things that don't really stand up.
Here is a thing I learned a while ago, "there is a God, and I'm not it"..

Can I just point out the possible contradiction in saying "it seems to me that there are just way to many people who think that just because you don't know something you must be of limited intelligence" in this question, and "alot of you gave some very thoughtful answers. the rest of you are just showing your limited education and imagination" in the other?

If there is ever a serious question without an agenda, I answer it. There really are not many.
I helped a guy find a church in his new town the other day.
Until another honest question comes up though, we are just lobbing shots at each other.

In order to recieve an honest answer I would speak to a priest or preacher. You're more likely to find a scholarly or honest answer from someone that has doctorate in theology and actually works in the field.

I think many who are asking questions on here are just trying to stir-up strife. They don't really want to know the truth.
Many believers fall into their trap and react. Lacking wisdom.
Keep seeking Truth and you will find Him.
