We are doing a great job with our knowing right from wrong, our basic "goodness" aren't we? As for myself, I was a sociopath for a good part of my life. You would have walked to the other side of the street if I came near. We know crap!

God Bless

The human moral code is a concept. It's not a rule of law, written in stone. It's an understanding that good, kind hearted people like yourself posses. But just because you have it, doesn't mean that EVERYONE or even ANYONE has to follow it. Serial rapists, murderers, robbers, politicians, live by their OWN codes.

Is a HUMAN MORAL CODE a universal code that everyone must obey? Or is it just an IDEA by a single person or group? This world is bigger than just YOU or I.

I think most people have a sense of what is basically right and wrong. All people have different ideas about this and some people have completely different ideas. God does not solve the problem of people that do things that are obviously wrong. If the bible did solve this problem, there wouldn't be priests who molested children or the Spanish Inquisition. And obviously many of the conflicts in the world today have bee started by religion. So religion does not solve this problem and in fact, it probably adds to it. I think our best hope is to just do what we feel is right as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Obviously, people who have a twisted idea of what is right need to be dealt with. I think that people need to put religion aside and just go with what they feel is right and try to be good people. I believe that most people have the capacity for this but they are usually too lazy or greedy or self absorbed to care.

There is a human moral code, the problem is people are not basically good. Left to their own devices people tend towards evil, not good. Read Romans 1 and 3, for God's point of view.

The human moral code is based on both the community standards and the idea that the world is a better place when people engage in peaceful interactions. There are always those who lie outside the norm. Welcome back into the norm. We're glad you're here.

Could you repeat that in English?
Or at the very least, get someone with an education above (that means more than) the 3d grade to proofread for you?
Thanks.

Just because we are aware of something being right or wrong does not mean we will always do the right thing. God gave us free will.
