Depends on what you mean by dimensions. If you're talking about dimensions in the physical universe, then we have 3 (with some saying that consciousness adds a 4th) that we are aware of. Some (see Stephen Hawking's book, A Brief History of Time) say that there could have been many more physical dimensions at the beginning of our universe but that they collapsed (and finding them may lead to faster travel). That said, you could also be using the term 'dimension' in a different sense and this has a VARIETY of meanings. One refers to dimensions such as the physical, spiritual, emotional. Others refer to dimensions of a person in terms of their aspects. You need to be more specific.

All dimensions are arbitrary. Any scalar property representative of some aspect of nature can be considered a dimension... for example, electrical charge. As a matter of convenience and convention, we use 3 spatial coordinates and one temporal (time) coordinate to fix space-time events.
String theory, in physics, postulates the existence of additional dimensions which may be invisible to us... 8, 10, 11, 13, depending on which version of the theory. Typically, these dimensions are conceived as minute, curled up... although the latest versions, pertaining to 'branes' (membranes) include ideas of dimensions that are as big or bigger than our universe, and exist alongside us... undetectably.

10 according to string theory, 11 according to m-theory
This question belongs in the physics section, and if you are truly interested in this topic check out 'Universe in a Nutshell' or ' A Brief History of Time', both by Dr. Stepen Hawking.
Edit: M-theory is the newer of the two theories, and works out the best with observed phenomena.

If you mean spacetime dimensions, there are at least 5. We sense 4 directly, and the 5th is implied from gravity and other effects we can measure. No-one knows beyond that.

10,11, and 26 are the most popular.
I think most string theorists believe 11 at this time.
