I will not call atheist pretentious because they are not pretending about who they are, the agnostics admit doubt. But the other people seem to be feigning piety.

There is underlying hostility in their comments. I've only read one or two responses that seem genuine in their belief and decorum.

Would you require him to justify his terrible actions before taking his hand, or would you just be happy to see him? From what I've read and seen, I have a much better moral compass than he does. Maybe he just needs someone to explain that his plan sucks?

I'm a struggling recovering alcoholic that's overwhelmed by a broken heart, never ending lonliness, huge money problems and some health problems.

I've been feeling TERRIBLE lately, especially because I'm just so lonely have no one to talk to. (People who offer to 'be my friend' online are a joke btw) .

I think about drinking and suicide constantly. In 3 years I have not made a single friend in AA (or outside AA). My girlfriend left me a year ago and I'm sure alot of people don't like me because of what she told them.

I have given myself until Saturday night for someone to come into my life. I'm going to go to AA meeting as usual, but if I leave alone from the Saturday meeting again, I plan to go home and hang myself.

People always are saying 'join the church'. I've been to church a bunch of times, not a soul there talked to me

I had no faith in temple Gods. Though i feel nature and find God there, in the jungle...in the sea.....on the top of the hills.......on snow......The reason is i have never seen God personally but i saw nature very closely. One day my daughter refused to join second year of engineering i put my hed down and remember my late father in law and said pl look at your grand son and help her ..the second moment she said a' iam ready to go there""" i realised i had seen my father in law so i recollected ..in the same way many such people who were there on eath and now people regard them as their God after their death so they pray for them (GOd)...I welcome to share views in this respect...

It where free? Meaning you don't have to pay anything but you still have a chance at winning millions of dollars?

Does this sound stupid to anyone? Well, then why is it that athiests choose not to believe in God? Afterall, if they aren't right, what did it cost them? However, if they are wrong, then they get to go to heaven afterall.

Where's the logic in being an Athiest? Seems like most of them are just rebellious children trying to be different and free thinking. I agree that religion is mainly an archaic outdated practice but in the end, something had to put us here. I'm gonna keep taking my free ticket. How bout you?

I think this is the last question I am going to ask in this section since my vacations are over and I am going to do more constructive things than wasting my time here.

This section of Religion and Spirituality is getting full of the wrong people. Why the atheist, agnostics, non-believers are in this section 24/7 when they are supposed to be in the Science and Mathematics section?

They are here all the time, I even recognize them easily because I see them too often here. You post questions to make people think and then they pretend to be the victims saying they feel offended.

Aren't you in the incorrect section in the first place? If you are in middle of religious people you are going to get your butt burned in purpose because you wanted it. Christians love to experiment with atheists, to prove their beliefs. Don't like it? Leave. Want to do the same to them? All of you are doing it wrong, by being offensive and insulting we will immediately dismiss you and label you.

I always get mail from these preachers/ ministers/prohets asking me for money for this, that and the other---what is with that? I get envelopes with point of contact items as they call them. Should I give money to these ministries? Don Stewart, St. Matthews Church, etc.

What are your thoughts on a future world with no religions?? I understand some take quotes from him RUNNING for office 1920's &1930's..in an attempt to win the Christian vote.

But what did he say after he got into office and banned Elections...is that more accurate of his REAL feeling?...show me where I'm wrong.

why does the new world translation change the words for jesus being worshiped to obiesence(mt:2,2).among many others versus. and 2 why do you add the word jehovah to the new testament some 200 times when the original greek manuscript never says jehovah once.It says in revelations: 22,18 that is anyone adds any word or removes any word he will bring on gods punishment.. also in john :1,1 you change the word was God ...to was a god.... how do you justify this.... what about the 1975 faided predection of the end of the world????
