It happened to me just a few times in my life. Regardless the moment and the location, for a few seconds I knew exactly what it will going to happen' or if someone was around I knew what they're going to say. It was like a replay from a dream or from another life. Does anyone else lived such moments?

I am thinking about going to a friend's church, but they are lutheran, and I would rather not go to a church that goes against my beliefs.

stillbrooke, in regards to the question you answered about the dead sea scrolls I would like to say please forgive me for getting confused. You are absolutley correct the Dead Sea scrolls are all OT. However there was another find in the caves of Egypt in 1945 called the Nag Hammadi scrolls. Which would be classified as New Testament if they were in the Bible. They are viewed as largley Gnostic gospels which is an early sect of Christians.

I've never been to South Dakota. But at least I've seen pictures of it. I know the Lakota Indians live there. I know the Black Hills are there. I know Mt. Rushmore is there. I know there is a biker rally there ever year.
I've never seen a picture of heaven. No one can tell me what goes on there. I have no idea if it has any culture whatsoever. For all I know it looks like Camden, NJ.
Why would I want to go to heaven then? The only description of it I get is "Well, god will be there and you'll be filled with his love." What if I get there and he has bad breath and body odor and his voice is really annoying? Then I have to hang around with him loving me for all eternity?
Could you at least lie to me and make heaven seem more appealing? Right now if I had a choice, go see heaven or go see South Dakota, I'm going with South Dakota.

I mean the Creator could show up as anything.

And please do not say that the proof is that we were created in god's image, that is circular reasoning

Being sin free is awesome. You should try Jesus for real. Nothing gets you as high as Jesus. If you sincerely ask him, he will remove all sin from your life forever! Praise the holy name of Jesus. Thank you, Jesus, for making me sin-free!!!!!!

The question is:

Don't you want Jesus to save you too?

I personally believe in evolution all the way! Although I do in God, I do not believ in Adam + Eve at all. Early people made that up because they wanted an explanation for where humans cam from.

He hasn't been seen or heard from on Earth in almost 2000 years. It's like He wiped His fingerprints off everything on the planet and disappeared under a new identity. Just one sign, man, just one little non-ambiguous, undeniable sign, is that too much to ask?

At what precise minute in time should we have our human rights, whether inside or outside the womb?
Since it is considered murder to kill an innocent child or adult when should we get these rights?

obviously the answer can't just be a simple yes or no. if anything, it needs to be a "sorta" somewhere in the middle.

if you say "yes, god wants us to know", then i have to ask why he doesn't just make it blatantly clear. i mean,, he could answer every prayer if he wanted to, and talk IN PLAIN VOCAL LANGUAGE (which ever language a person understands) and there would be ZERO non-believers.

instead though, christians seem to say things like "well,, he wants us to believe on faith.", which is essentially saying "he doesn't wanna make it TOO obvious. he wants us to sweat a little." so the answer then is "no", right?

ok,, well if your answer is "no, he wants to make it more like a puzzle", then you can't say that he gives us so many signs and that non-believers are just denying the obvious.

what i'm asking you guys to do is make up your minds. i want to know where each of you stands on this. and if you admit that he's making it tricky on purpose, then please explain ....... (READ MORE)

If faith is enough for religion, then is it enough for evolution? If it can prove one thing can it prove others? By that logic, then I would be correct to say that because I believe in evolution it is real. I see christians picking at evolution, and saying faith proves christanity correct. If it works for them then it should work for us. We don't need proof if you don't. I am not looking to offend, just to see if christians could see what I mean, and if it works by their standard.

Being a demon would be a lot of fun, no restrictions, you can have sex or get high or do whatever you wanted. Plus you can possess people and make them do cool tricks like spin their head in a cirlce.

What do you get by being an angel? You get to sit on a cloud playing a harp all day. You can't have any fun, ever, and you have to wag your finger at anyone who does
The only upside I could see is that occassionally god would make you go out and fight some demons for him. Other than that you'd just be his messenger boy. "Go surprise this virgin." "Go condemn this city." Boring.
