He hasn't been seen or heard from on Earth in almost 2000 years. It's like He wiped His fingerprints off everything on the planet and disappeared under a new identity. Just one sign, man, just one little non-ambiguous, undeniable sign, is that too much to ask?

Do you have scales on your eyes?
You want a sign?
Read Matthew 24, from verse 3 on.
Or try 2 Timothy 3:1 - 4
The Bible is all we need for quite awhile yet.

Your mistake is, you imagine God can devote a homicide. yet he can't. he's the owner of existence, the source of all existence. He can take it decrease back, each and each and every time he needs. Do you imagine, your existence belongs to you? you're incorrect. existence belongs to God. If he comes to a decision to take existence decrease back from someone, it truly is continually righteous. under no circumstances unfair.

When people go looking for "God" with a preconcieved notion of what they're looking for... their unlikely to see It. An obvious, if somewhat silly, example is God as an Old Man in the clouds with a Grey Beard.

Most people have a very poor understanding of what the word "god" is supposed to suggest. As with any word; it's deffinition suggests much more about what something Is Not, rather than what It Is.

I've personally adopted a good excercise. I interchange the word God with the word Life. It's really an understanding of life (in the grand sense) that we seek, in seeking god... If you're scientifically inclined, you're searching for the Unifieing Theory of All Things. (That's what Einstein was looking for with his theory of general relativity... that's what String Theorists are looking for... and theologians are looking for the same thing.) An understanding of what Is; and we hope to find One thing to explain it all.

Anyway, substituting the word "life" for "god" has many advantages. One, it'll help you filter out feldercarb you read about God. We have more overt experience with Life, so it gives us something to work with. Example. "God will strike you down for cursing." -- many people fear it. However, we have the experience that "Life does not strike you down for cursing". Life doesn't really care...

A better example. "God will condemn you to hell". Now put in the word Life. "Life will condemn you to hell". We know one thing about life... You're a part of it. (You're alive. You're a-life.) It hardly makes sense that Life would condemn It-self to hell.

Anyway, it might strike you as silly at first... but try it. It's a useful tool... and, to me at least, makes clear sense.

Finally, to your question... when you substitute the word Life for God... it's very easy to see signs of Life everywhere. Perhaps no grey bearded man in the clouds (unless you're flying with an elderly airplane pilot.) Again, it's an understanding of Life that we're seeking with our pursuit of God... the trancendental reason for Life.

The problem is you are asking "man" and not God to give you the sign. ;-)
