Unlike hezbollah -- which admits to having the goal of wiping israel off the map -- the israelis are just trying to protect themselves from the aforementioned terrorist group.
Israel dropped leaflets, for example, warning the lebanese to leave that area before the bombing began. Unfortunately, many didn't leave.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think hezbollah has done ANYTHING EVER to help minimize loss of life; on the contrary, their goal IS the loss of israelis life.
So who's committing genocide?

Hezbola has publicly stated that their intention is the eradication of jewish life. Israel attacked them after being engaged by this terrorist group from Lebanese soil and Lebanese government declined to intervene in that attack. In other words the terrorists engaged in an attempted genocide that hasn't worked out well for them. The only thing Israel can be faulted for is its desire to live and win.

The Palestinians proceed to combat a resistance, yet no one helps the Palestinians. They choose Hamas as democratic government, yet Israel gets in the way. The Greeks had terrain as their acquaintances against the Nazis. The Palestinians stay in deserts. The French won help from D-Day.

Genocide.
Genocide is defined by the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) Article 2 as "any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such: Killing members of the group; Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; and forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
The intent of the Israeli government is to recover their captured soldiers and fell a terrorist group. That doesn't qualify under the aforementioned definition.

You are really grasping there.
Go buy a dictionary and look up genocide.
At least the Israelis are attempting to aim at specific targets, unlike hezbollah, who targets towns.
Maybe hezbollah shouldn't use their local population for cover.

If it was genocide, they'd have to kill off all middle-easterners. or all Muslims. They've got a long way to go.
