Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.
Genesis 7:23

Eh, no I didn't. Where did you get that from ? I once stood on a ant by accident but i never wiped out every living creation.

By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24 Then the LORD rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the LORD out of the heavens. 25 Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, including all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. 26 But Lot's wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt.
Genesis 19:23-25

Woah !!! Where did you get this from ? Again I repeat I am not in the business of killing or encouraging killing. Anyway I was at home watching the mork and mindy marathon that day.

BTW What is it with you guys hating gays ? I say love EVERYONE

Did their God tell them that she is all alone as God of the universe?
If so, why didn't that single God tell the same to other people?
I would certainly doubt my creator if she told me that she is all alone in an infite universe. I would even die from laughing at such a make-believe story.

If you had faith that you could stop a car travelling at 30mph just by standing in front if it people would think you were mad. But you had faith that it was true so that was ok. But you could be proved wrong if you stood in front of a car, failed to stop it and got run over.

So, faith is ok until proved wrong? Unfortunately it can not be proved either way that god/allah/krishna/heaven/hell until we die. so is faith in a greater power just stupidity?

Was just wondering how it is that you can belive so wholeheartedly in the bible and claim that it's unfablible? Are you not aware that it is the result of copied and translated writtings? there is an example Malachi 1:3 states: "And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness." and in another version of the bible it's changed from dragon to owl. I have been told the reason for this is that it is translated for the particular time period or that it's the 'best' way to translate it. and we all know that there are words in various languages that have no translateion, words unique in meaning. so just from that it has become falible. I do not mean this to be in any way insulting, just curious on peoples beliefs and if you are aware of this or belive it's hogwash and it is infalible.

Consider the Epicurean argument:
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

I was reading in Wikipedia that "one of the most common arguments against the existence of a specific God is the problem of evil." As an atheist, this is certainly my main argument. How do theists account for this logical incompatibility? The only reasons I ever hear from people are "free will" or "the devil." The first just doesn't make sense and the second is just an excuse.

Jesus is "A" god, a spiritual being, in heaven with his Father, Almighty God. Trinitarians have removed the letter "a" from John 1;1 to falsely prove their theory. Just because it has been promoted for a very long time does not make it correct. The book of John has many scriptures that separate Jesus from his Father. Why should they all be nullified because of one [removed]letter in John 1;1.

When I was on patrol I pulled a guy over who was going 40 over the speed limit. His license read "Jesus Hernandez". I was like "Do you expect me to believe that the Son of Man drives a '73 Mazda with a broken taillight?" But there he was, right with his license. And you know licenses never lie.

Read the story of Lazarus: John Ch 11.

It is obvious that Jesus cared about Lazarus profoundly.
Lazarus' sisters - who Jesus also "loved" - however describe their brother to Jesus as _the_one_ that you love.

If Lazarus had been female, how would you read the passage?
Why not read the passage in the same way with Lazarus being male?

There is nothing to suggest that Jesus and Lazarus ever "had sex", of course.

You can lie, you can steal, you can swear, you can cheat, you can adulterize, you can rape, you can even murder. He forgives all sins. There has never in history been another to walk this planet that was as liberal, forgiving, and tolerant as long as you accept him, he will accept you. If this is so, then how can one who tries to be a Liberal Christian be wrong? How do Conservatives claim a monopoly on the Christian religion when Christ was as far from Conservative as one could be? Can you imagine Christ wanting everything to stay the way it was, or to even stay as it is today? If everything was already fine and the world was already headed down the "righteous" path then his being wouldn't have been needed, or made much sense, and then a conservative religion would be prudent.

According to the Christian doctrine, Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. The idea here is that every human is born with sins, or that all humans will sin, and therefore it was necessary that someone as pure as Jesus would be the crucified to nullify these sins. The question is: Why does anyone have to die for our sins when God, the All-Merciful, could as easily give us forgiveness if we ask for it? Isn't God the one who makes the rules? Why does He have to make someone suffer for our sins or for someone else's sins? Isn't that unjust of Him? According to the Bible the way to redemption could be obtained without the need for sacrifice.

The Bible says:
- Ezekiel 18: 20" The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."
- Ezekiel18 : 21" But if the wicked will turn from all
