Anglican's were split off from Catholicism by King Henry the eigth of England because he wanted a divorce and the pope wouldn't give it to him. Catholics are an old church that was formed when the Roman Emporer Constantine accepted Christianioty and shortly thereafter it became the state religion of the Roman Empire. Prebytarian... not sure but think it is an outgrowth of the Scottish Knoxite (Calvinist church). Baptists are protestant churches that believe in adult baptism. they grew out of radical annabaptist sects in Germany shortly after protestism started
