I think, faith is acting upon belief. Faith is decision, action, resolution. Faith is working out the implications of belief. When you say "Therefore" you move from belief into faith. Faith is particularizing, if you want it put in one word. It is taking the general truth and applying it to the specific situation and saying, "If this be true, then this must follow." That is the shield of faith.

"how" is a question, "faith and belief" are actions :)
belief is a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing. It is a conviction of the truth of some statement or the reality of some being or phenomenon especially when based on examination of evidence
faith is a firm belief and complete trust in something not seen. and for which there is no proof.

Faith is believing in something you can't prove is right and belief is a strong feeling which may or may not be able to be proven correct.

They are the same.
When you believe, you are said to have faith, because of your belief.
Instead you should ask, what faith (or belief) does God wants from us? What does He wants us to believe in?
In the basic doctrinal book of Paul, the first time he mentioned about faith is in Rom 1:5 where God wants a new kind of obedience from His people under the New Covenant. Instead of obedience to the law, He wants us to have obedience to THE FAITH (belief) -
“Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for OBEDIENCE TO THE* FAITH among all nations for His name,”
* Paul used a definite article in Greek - THE faith - to emphasize the ONE main thing to believe in under the New Covenant.
The 2nd mention of faith is in Rom 1:8, where Paul thank God that the people's belief is spoken of throughout the world -
“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that YOUR FAITH IS SPOKEN OF throughout the whole world.”
The 3rd mention is in Rom 1:12, where Paul is encouraged by the fact that they are believing in the same thing -
“that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the MUTUAL FAITH both of you and me.”
Now in Rom 1:17, Paul defines what is this faith (belief) that God wants us to be obedient to -
“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Paul wants the people to believe they have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus. The only condition is to BELIEVE.

Faith IS believing. Actually, faith and fear have the same meaning. Believing something is going to happen before it does.

Belief is a state of mind or attitude while faith is an action of
the will. e.g. If you are a bad neighbor but I choose to answer
your bad behavior with love, that is faith.

Faith is believing in the things that cannot be seen. (Namely, God.)

Faith is what I do in my life in the light of Islam.

If you are referring to religious faith and belief, I would say that belief is subscribing to a particular set of theories and principles with regard to the spiritual aspects of life and death. Faith can occur when one accepts and trusts his religious concepts/beliefs which he has acquired/adapted/adhered to and/or learned, which may or may not requiring tangible proof/evidence to back them up.
If you are referring to faith and belief outside of the spiritual aspects of life and death with regard to human relationships, then I'd define faith as a confidence, assurance and a sense of inner knowingness which is based upon one's past experiences in life regarding himself or with others, where one develops the belief that he, himself may be trusted & counted on to perform a certain positive, reliable way in the future, or that others may be trusted and counted on to perform in a positive, consistent and reliable manner with how they've performed in the past. However, some people assume and/or develop a blind faith in certain persons in their lives, and/or develop super-confidence/self-assurance in their own abilities, even if they've never been challenged to perform in these areas in the past. One's self-image, one's ability to cope with challenges, and one's capability to remain resilient in the face of adversity all are factors which can bring about this confidence.
