Because I believe it is not my place to tell anyone what they need to believe in.

Some Christians think that if you do not make everyone believe the way you do then you are not preaching the word. Why can't we except people even if they do not believe the way we do. Some Christians are not very good Christians but they are ok because they are Christians. Other people who are not Christian are going to hell right?? What gives me to right to say that??? I could never or would never say that.

I believe there is a time to speak in word in season, but I also believe that our lives preach more than our words. It is different if someone ask you a direct question, but say for example, you were talking with a work colleague, and you kept telling them they were going to hell, then it would be a major put off. It is far more appropriate that you show kindness, gentleness and forgiveness to others than than ram stuff down their throats. This way, the will see Jesus in you...and that will draw them to Him. Remember, you have the Holy Spirit in you, and it is the Holy Spirit that convicts men of sin.

Hope this helps.

Not at all! Jesus said: "Let he among us who is without sin cast the first stone." A true Christian should always pay more attention to those red ink parts in the Bible (direct quotes of Jesus), than to what some preacher or another is trying to push as their political agenda.

Judgment of men is up to God, so you certainly are a good Christian if you can just love your fellow men and women. Some Christians are called to become evangelists, but others are not. Your faith and your actions define you as Christian or not. Evangelism is not required.

the undertaking is that the Atheists are only giving again what they get from Christians. do you want being screamed at walking down the line, being advised that you'll an section you do not think in the position unspeakable issues ensue to you? by using someone who has no theory who you're or what you stand for, only the unshakable perception that they are accurate, and also you're incorrect. If I stood on a street nook shouting - Your God isn't genuine- there is no afterlife- be a tremendous man or woman and luxuriate in existence! - What may ensue then? a tremendous kind of folk may be pissed off at me, and that i'd only be doing a similar component that takes position to me time-honored yet from my ideological point of view. possibly Christians attempt to 'keep my soul' yet possibly then the Atheists try that can help you you be conscious their way of issues. certain each man or woman is being judgmental of their own way yet till people stop proletyzing and only enable each man or woman get on with their own lives, we are going to might want to manage being 'judged'.

In the Bible we are called to preach the Word it IS our place to preach our faith. In the Great commission (Mat 28:16) we are called to:

...Make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (NKJV)

We are also called to hate what God hates and God hates sin. If we tolerate sin then we are bad Christians. It does no good to be tolerant and non-judgmental if it is going to cause someone to go to hell. However when we confront someone about their sin we must do it out of love. Not wanting to hurt someone else’s feelings just makes the world a nicer place to go to hell from.

If you know something that can some benefit other person then why not tell them.
On the other hand forcing someone into your belief is not one should do.
Religion is a very sensitive issue and for some odd reason people have gotten the idea that if they insult other's faith, he/she will convert.

Being open minded is when you ask someone question, be ready to accept that you might be also wrong.

This is exactly why I am Muslim.

being a christian very involved in my community i really think that a lot of people have been hurt by closed minded Christians. that is the thing that should set us apart from the other religions... that we are open to others so that they will be able to say that was nice of him or her. or i can really talk to them and feel no judgment from them. that is the right thing to do to except everyone as being unique in every way... in the end it is all about relationships... being true to friends

i don't think that makes you a bad Christian at all.

Only 50 years ago, being open-minded and non-judgmental was part of Christianity. For instance, the Baptist church in the 30s and 40s was nothing like what i was raised with in the 50s and 60s. and now it is unrecognizable to me.

No! There are no ranks (or shouldn't be) in the Christian faith.

Besides, we are not called to tell anyone what to believe. They tried that in the crusades, and it was terrible. We are called to live lives which reflect the glory of God, to stand up for our faith and IF we are called to, SHARE our beliefs with others, but never to TELL anyone what to believe.
