You can lie, you can steal, you can swear, you can cheat, you can adulterize, you can rape, you can even murder. He forgives all sins. There has never in history been another to walk this planet that was as liberal, forgiving, and tolerant as long as you accept him, he will accept you. If this is so, then how can one who tries to be a Liberal Christian be wrong? How do Conservatives claim a monopoly on the Christian religion when Christ was as far from Conservative as one could be? Can you imagine Christ wanting everything to stay the way it was, or to even stay as it is today? If everything was already fine and the world was already headed down the "righteous" path then his being wouldn't have been needed, or made much sense, and then a conservative religion would be prudent.

I think I should have explained better. I'm not trying to explain that it's ok to do these things, but that you could have done these in the past, yet all you need is to give your life to Christ and you are forgiven. So I ask, who is else is that liberal?

Nice! I like your thinking. Good points. I often wonder what Jesus would think of the world today if he were to come back and comment on it.

I disagree. I understand your point. God- as a Father is the one who disciplines and punishes and judges. Jesus-is the forgiveness side of Him, etc....and He was forgiving of what people did in their pasts, as He said "Go, and sin no more." He meant turn away from what you know is wrong and live for Me. But He was not pleased with people who were arrogant and did not turn away.
And Children were extremely special to Jesus. (They still are.) So, He would not tolerate killing of innocent babies, sex with minors, homosexuals who know what He taught...etc....As His followers we must fight for what we know is right (Recall Sodom/Gomorrah)...We can love all people and pray for them, but we do not have to accept wickedness and sin around us, not without a spiritual fight....

Firstly, you are correct to correlate liberalism with sinning, as it seems that the only thing the many liberal groups have in common with each other is their defiance of God’s will as stated in his commandments and Jesus’ teachings.

Let’s see how your views compare with what the Bible says.

You said, “You can lie, you can steal, you can swear, you can cheat, you can adulterize, you can rape, you can even murder.”

The Bible states in Galatians 5:19-21. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, THAT THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”

You said: “He forgives all sins. There has never in history been another to walk this planet that was as liberal, forgiving, and tolerant as long as you accept him, he will accept you.

The Bible states in John 5:14, “Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: SIN NO MORE, LEST A WORSE THING COME UNTO THEE.”

John 8:11 “And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and SIN NO MORE.”

Luke 9:62, “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Jesus commanded his followers to forsake sinning. In fact, this is the mark of a follower of Christ, or ‘Christian’. In Matthew 7:18-23, Jesus states, “A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. NOT EVERY ONE THAT SAITH UNTO ME, LORD, LORD, SHALL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN; BUT HE THAT DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

I cannot list all of Jesus’ commandments here, but if you have read the bible, you know of them. I will list one that pretty well sums them all up. In John 15:13-14 Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, IF YE DO WHATSOEVER I COMMAND YOU.” (Note the word ‘IF’)

Basically, the term ‘Liberal’ refers to a political group of people who come from diverse backgrounds and have very different views on most things, but hold a few beliefs that are common to them. Most liberals are evolutionists, and do not even believe in God, at least in the God of the Bible, for you cannot believe in someone if you do not believe what he said.

Liberals are for free speech whenever profanity or immoral themes are the message, and are against free speech if the speech is to proclaim Jesus Christ or God’s principles (for example, Liberals have removed the 10 commandments, crosses, nativity scenes, banned prayer, censored commencement speeches by graduates to remove all reference to God or Jesus, etc.)

Liberals are for homosexuality, although the Bible condemns it. They are for sex outside of marriage and with multiple partners, again, behavior which is condemned by the Bible.

I could go on, but there is no reason. Liberals know who they are. They don’t want someone telling them they can’t, sin whether it be the government or the Lord.

It is true that all of us have sinned. The distinction Jesus makes is that those who turn away from their sins to be reconciled to God are the ones who are saved. Those who remain sinners do not believe in Jesus, for if they did, they would heed his warnings and stop sinning. And if they do not believe in Jesus, they cannot possibly be saved according to the Bible.

There is a world of difference between being forgiving and being permissive. The Bible states in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE.”
