Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet sent only to the Jewish people, so for us the expression "King of Jews" is not that far from the truth.

Jesus ever accepyed that He was the King of the Jews.Pilate and his team wrote that and put on HIS head at the cross. the jews questioned that, but Pilate did not give a damn..It was the basis of His crucifixion on cross by the Romans. We are no Jews but we are spiritual Isrealites if you believe in the Name of The Lord Jesus.Don't forget that the whole world , either consciously or unconsciously revolve around His name. You may hate or do what ever you like, but know that time and seasons revolve around His name , and you cannot change it.The whole world worship Jesus either willingly or unwilligly. As long as you calculate time everyday, you are mentioning the Name of Jesus every day,it is irrespective of your religion or sect.
Jesus is the KING OF THE WHOLE WORLD!.He is the Saviour of the whole world, the Redeemer, The PRINCE OF LIFE,The Ancient of Days,The King Of Rightousness,The King of Kings, The Lord Of Lords,The head of Pincipalities and powers,He reigns in the Kingdom of Heaven and the kingdom of Men.He is the Ressurection and Life,We are His sheep and He is our Shepherd. The world has not known Peace because they have not known Him.But whether they know Him or not, He remaineth the same, and unchangeable. We all are God's Irealites but we are not Jews, and Jesus is THE KING OF THE WHOLE WORLD.The whole world worship Him everyday. Hmmmmm!!!

Because Christianity is based on the concept that Jesus died to ease the sin of humanity. Hence the word "Christ" (which is Greek [Christos] and means "annointed"... it was the closest translation of the Hebrew word "Messias" [Messiah]) in "Christ"ianity. Christianity is based on the teachings of Christ, and did not emerge as a religion until well after Jesus' death, and was actually a ploy for power by the Egyptians at the time (see "Coptic Christianity"). So Jesus was the King of all Jews because he was himself a Jew, and expounded on the teachings of God to all jews, but Christians are not Jews, because Christians believe Jesus was the messiah that cleansed humanity of it's sins, and Jews, while they see him as a powerful figure, do not see him as they're savior.

When Jesus was resurrected the believers became Christians and the non believers kept their faith as Jews. That one event is basically the difference in Christians and Jews. Christians think the Messiah has already come and Jews are still waiting for him.

Some chose to believe that he was and is the Son of God and others didnt believe that he was. So the ones that believed became Christians and the others who didnt beleive remained Jews. You do get Messianic Jews, they believe that Jesus is the Son of God but hold on to the Jewish culture.

Considering the Jews don't believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and they are still waiting on him to come has alot to do with it...he is regarded as just a Prophet to the Jewish...why do you think he died for there sins....after all his last words where " forgive them father for they know not what they do" and boy did they pay for it over the last 1000 yrs....
The reason we are not all Jewish is because we have been cultivated in doctorine and biblical texts from the origins of manmade religion and we are all cultures steeped in different history's....

Jesus is king and Lord of all, not just the jews.
I think he is referred to as the king of the jews, as at that time they were the persecuted race by the Romans and was it not the romans who gave him this title??

Jesus was the prophesied messiah for the jews, written of by the prophets Isiah etc, therefore he was the king of the jews. However they did not accept him as being the messiah and rejected him. Christ came to save all men!

Christians become adopted jews. The Bible uses an olive tree as a picture of what happens. The Jews are the olive tree with the roots gentile believers in Christ are a branch that is grafted onto the olive tree.
