After the downfall of muslim empires of past, muslim nations have been left behind. Currently few (2 or 3) have genuine democracies where as others have corrupt ruling elite whose strings are pulled from the west. The public voice is suppressed and the culture is dictated from so-called leader. Which ever muslim country tries to establish democracy is faced by severe resistance however dictators are facilitated by external forces who rule till their death. As a result public sector is weak consequently deprived health, education and security facilities are provided
Around the globe Muslim countries are being invaded and non-muslim countries are being liberated, Take example of eastern Timur and compare with Palestine, Kashmir, Chechnya etc, etc. No one cares about the death of dozens of Palestinian children daily (even muslim dictators), but raises voice against kidnap of one Israeli soldier

Muslims themselves lack discipline and no one can blame religion for this because most of us (95% in non-arab countries) have never read the whole Koran (with meaning) which teaches discipline and provides guidance .

I have observed in YA that most of the atheists are in fact, anti-christianity. They do not believe in the "Saving", Sin, Heaven and Hell...and specially a God ruling the world, with stern moral values, punishing in hell or rewarding heaven or virgins.

Now if you see a religion which

Does not believe in God
Does not have concept of sin, heaven and hell
Does not have fairy tale stories in their religion
Has a logical explanation of Life, Death, Pains and Universe

Will you by default, oppose that religion too (just to fulfil your duty of being atheist)?

Or you may change your perspective about religion?

(Belieive me there is such a religion on earth)

I'm so sorry. I really am.

I was really really trying to write my questions in correct English, without typos, errors, etc.

It's kinda difficult for me, since i live in Romania and English is only my fourth language. But i sincerely try to write English in the correct way, and i do that out of respect for the TOS, and out of respect for every English native speaker on this forum.

Sometimes i make errors, sometimes i make typos. I truly don't mean to.

I asked a question which had the word "meaningfull" in it. Of course i was corrected in my obvious error.

So, please, will everybody accept my sincere apologies for the fact that i'm saying now that the "spell check nazis" on this forum, who obviously don't even realise that a World Wide Web implies that visitors from all over the wold will be online, are the most arrogant, stupid, selfrighteous people i have saw?

What biblical verses point to it being a sin?

And why?

Genetically speaking, studies show, 1st cousin marriages generally have a 2-4% chance of abnormal children, whereas normal couples have 1-2% chance. Its been blown out of proportion more so in America and I've heard its origins are in Christianity. So.. why?

I know that many of you will think this cant be answered in one word, but that is the key! Take the time, dig deep and narrow it down to just one word!! Its way to easy to answer it in a sentence, Try one word.

I am curious to what people think it means to Live Life in Truth. I know what it means to me. I would like to share my opinion but I feel that may influence the direction or thought path that one will take when asking themselves this.

I wish you all well and challenge each and evey person to Life Life in Truth! Our words and actions are like drops of water, they have profound ripples that travel great distances. Many times effecting people we dont even know in ways we are never aware of.

The world could use a few more people living in truth, can you imagine what the world would be like if we all did!

God Bless

Although the person may not mean to stir up issues, a lot of answers get offensive and judgmental (from all sides of this issue). Are you willing to promise to respect the person who asks a question without creating hostile feelings?

Can we all get along?

For my fellow Christians, think about Christ's example. He only was hard on the Pharisees and the disciples (because they should know better) but was kind and gentle to those who honestly sought answers to questions. He also was respectful to them (the woman at the well, the people he healed, the centurion, etc).

Can we all try to get along and to promise from now on to answer in a way that is respectful to the other person. No one says you have to agree with them, but can we disagree in a way that still respects them as an individual. Or at least in a way that won't get them angry.

What are the issues? The veracity of the Bible, the morality of the Bible, religious imposition on "free" society, religion suppressing other ideas etc... What do you think should be on the list?

I am referring to Genesis 1:27 which says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them."

My interpretation of this scripture is that God is both male and female in form - embodying qualities of both.

Why then does the Bible and Christians that I know in general refer to God as "him"?

Are any Christians open to the idea that God could be a woman?

If you feel that God is male, please explain why.

If you feel that God could not possibly be female, please explain why.
