It's a concept that was created by people long ago who had no other way to explain the simple processes and parts of nature, such as rain, thunder, lightning, the seasons, stars in the sky, death, birth.

Someone we trust and look up to and ask questions why are we here . Someone who knows all the answers but wants us to learn it as we go along. Someone we go to when we need more then help but answers to the problems we face. Someone who is every way. He's not human but a light in our path. Someone who will come and show us the road we all must travel. And finally the light in our heart which we all carry around but we all don't use it for the good of us all. In God we trust, God bless America. If you don't believe, then buy a flash light and take a good look inside your heart, I'm sure he's there.

In Gen. 1:1 it says, "In the beginning, God…" It does not try to define who or what He is. The word for God there is the Hebrew word, 'elohiym, el-o-heem'; plur. of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but spec. used (in the plur. thus, esp. with the art.) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty. There is only one God, yet this is a plural word. Let me explain this to you this way; I am a grandfather, a father, a son, an uncle, a minister, a pastor, a teacher, etc. And yet, I am one. What then is God?
Jesus told the woman at the well in John 4:24,
"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."
Spirit is energy, force, power. Jesus told His disciples in Acts 1:7-8,
"It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
This word 'power' is the Greek word dunamis, doo'-nam-is; from G1410; force (lit. or fig.); spec. miraculous power (usually by impl. a miracle itself):--ability, abundance, meaning, might (-ily, -y, -y deed), Spirit is what keeps you living.

It's hard for us to understand that God has no beginning. God has been around for ever. Like space has no end it just keeps on going.

God is the beginning, the present and the end.
As a catholic, He's LOVE who loves with Jesus, through the Holy Spirit.
He's everything... and everywhere...
and sometimes...we should really REALLY just trust Him. And stop making too many questions.
But that's too complicated for the human mind and rationality. Isn't it?

God is the force that started creation. Or a myth depending on what you believe.

God is your belief in something bigger. God was a church creation of an image of someone really incredible (to think that someone so perfect really existed helps you to have faith).
