To Christian, all sins are equal.
In reality, both will have repercussion in our descendant. Marrying close relative will cause genetic defect to next generation. Same sex marriage will not have next generation at all!

I only feel that marrying your first cousin is weird and could cause trouble if you have children. I don't think that marrying someone of the same sex is a sin. And I am not gay either!

Both of these are equally punished, as many people said no sin is more or less terrible. And close relation marriages became wrong at the time of Moses, God gave us a new law because there were plenty of people on earth and because it was getting way too easy to have a child with a genetic disorder at the time. So for our sake He had to give us a new law.
And homosexuality always was wrong, and will always be wrong.

Where does it say that marrying your first cousin is a sin. It's wrong today because our genes are so messed up that inbreeding causes serious defects. In biblical times especially Old Testemant, it seems that it was common to marry within family relations.

Not a sin to do either. Marriage to a first cousin could be the cause of problems (genetic) for any children of such a marriage.

I guess the very worst sin would be if you and your first cousin were gay and got married??

I don't think you'll find anything in the Bible stating it's wrong to marry your first cousin.... Abraham married his Half-Sister. I think too many people try to apply the things they don't like to the bible so that it looks like they are sins. During those times, cousins were betrothed to one another, to keep the bloodline pure.

these answers are good. Sin is sin there is not a difference or should i say lesser and greater. The bible says all sin is punished and is wrong. And forgiveness is given when asked. But there are no degrees of sin.
