I believe in my heart that I am not saved. I have done some evil things, and I believe that God has rejected me, because of the things I have done. My heart has hardened, and I am not emotional like I used to be, just angry on the inside. I need some serious answers. I have so much fear inside me, too. Anybody out there know what I am talking about?

How do I overcome my doubts of the Bible as the truth? I know it's a matter of faith but my brain is telling me to question it. I keep going back to it being written by men in order to explain the events that took place & why we are here. What about the Quaran? It talks about Jesus in it. Why is it not true as well? I do love Jesus and attend a church that studies the Bible. But my doubts keep getting in the way. Is this what surrender means? To just give up doubt & believe without question?

I am Catholic and my bf for a year is Jewish. His family is VERY religious and does not except me. My family is VERY religious too but welcomes him with open arms and does everything for him. I am not allowed over there for any holidays and my bf has been very distant towards his family lately becasue he feels bad for me. But who is really going to win in the long run me or his family??

Why must someone be wrong in their thinking in order to make your opinion correct, no matter the topic, no matter the consequences, just so you can say I win?

It gets pretty darned thorough in other areas of sexuality (just read all the incest prohibitions), so I doubt God just "forgot" to mention it or assumed we'd take it as a given.

Something similar with pre-marital and extra-marital sex. It forbids sleeping with a married person, and it says men who sleep with virgins must reimburse the girl's family. But it doesn't forbid consensual sex between two unmarried and unrelated adults or teenagers.

I'm saying that the emotions that make us uncomfortable about evolution, and allow us to kill animals, are related to the emotions of that cause racism. You think? People create artificial superiority in their minds, like having souls, and having God's exclusive approval, and being the only creatures to have emotions. They use this superiority to be unfair to others, whether it's cows or other races. It seems related to me.
