Religion & Spirituality - 7 July 2006

Were you raised in a strong religious household? Did you later reject that religion? How didi you do it? For me, there are things that I have a lot of difficulty rejecting - such the people at church have been there for since I was born. Also, any contrary comments I make about that religion are treated as personal attacks by my parents. How do I do it without moving out of town and deceiving my family?

Ever since, i was raised in a christian family house, i have morals, know right from wrong. I'm a good friend, loving, caring, and etc. I am a virgin, and am waiting for marriage.

Ppl make rumors about me that i am a slut, or etc.... i dunno y...im not mean, im nice, and befriend everyone!

why is this? I want sincere answers!!

Gospel tracts are those little booklets that have a message from the bible or about God in them.

I always wonder - are gospel tracts doing any good or are they annoying the people who find them?

Have you ever been positively impacted by a gospel tract? Has a gospel tract ever made you angry? I know not all tracts are the same and some are more offensive than others. I'm just curious to know how you or someone you know have been PERSONALLY impacted by tracts.

I've gone to church my whole life, i'm baptized, i've tried praying... and to no avail. I've never felt God. I've been dealing with depression since i was 5 years old, and i tried praying to God, asking him if he would make me happy... he never did. I tried medication... nothing. i tried drugs that my friends said made them happy... i was happy while i was high, but not afterwards, so i quit.. i tried everything to be happy, to no avail. i've tried to feel God.. to no avail. WHY ISN'T HE THERE?!?!?!

If we dont judge, we can't pin point what's right or wrong. If we can't pin point what's right or wrong, nothing is done about wrong doings which is obviously why Christians dont like to be judged.

Eliminated I mean that we would still follow the teachings of all religions because all prophets (Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad etc...) all had great teachings and we took all of these and gave them names. Now all we fight about is money and religion.

I wish to learn my self and want some insight. What types of things can you do? What do you need? Do you do verbal stuff or does it involve making potions of sorts? Can it make ones mind stronger? How easily is it to go wrong? Most one changes their beliefs all together. Tell me any thing and every thing.

So far, what I have been told is that the first type of magic and prayer and to start with that first.
