I have to prepare a Salvation Sermon for Sunday night...I'm struggling BIG TIME with this particular message. I need intercessory prayer.

If you're a Christian - pray for me.

I know the scripture which God has led me to...

Matthew 14: "Come, he said."

To be more precise: The message reflects the different invitations God offers.

(There are 3 kinds of people. All of us fall into one of these 3 categories:)

1. Saved (Serving God.) His 'call' is beckoning us to 'come' closer to him...and to yield ourselves more to him. (a Call to Holiness)

2. Backsliders (those who once served)
It's an invitation to Salvation...an invitation to fuller surrender...and an invitation to return. (selected verses from Jeremiah will be my text.)

3. Unsaved. (those who've never had a relationship with Christ.) my text is Revelations 3:20.

*thank you to the believers who are praying.

I specify 'believers' because otherwise prayers are just "lip-service" (meaningless.)One must always pray in faith -- Otherwise, their prayers mean nothing.

no offense.

Try the Scripture Acts 2:38.

Your struggling requires prayer? I think not. If you need help with your "salvation" sermon, do a word study for savior/salvation in the New Testament.

Start with God and work your way down.

Already asked and answered you will do fine.
Just look into your own heart and ask your self what convinced you. The message you want to present is not so much about facts and exacts quotes as it is about a personal relationship with your Lord. Who you realized you had failed and sought to surrender your self to his Lordship and mercy. While forsaking your past and seeking his forgiveness and grace.
I have many sermons I would be willing to share with you .that you can use or change to suite your preference.

I will gladly pray for you. I know you will do well. This is a test of faith during this time. I will pray for God to guide you and help you during this time of need. May his holy Angels surround you and may you feel the peace that passes understanding this night.

Amen

How about this:

Dear God
You know everything about me
You know everything I have done
You know everything I will do
You know what I am thinking
You know what I want
So I have no need to elaborate in prayer

Seriously, why don't you Christians pray for a cure for cancer. We'll see if those prayers are answered.
