Found amongst his hidden notes and some old newspaper clippings, Sir Isaac Newton once predicted the end of the world was to come in the year 2060. This was based on some weird calculations he made. Could he be right? Have there been signs that we have not paid heed to?

You made fun of CNN because you didn't like the article about muslims Killing two people because they watched TV.

so here is what Al jazeera said about the incident cause i'm sure you consider AJ to be reputable.

Oh, and it's bad form to call someone names if you don't agree with what they are saying. it doesn't mean you win the argument or make a point at all. it just makes you LOOK STUPID.

There is no larger question in my mind or heart to doubt his divinity. Also, why is there NO writings of him anywhere in history made during his life time or general time line excluding the Bible?
There is recorded history of everyone else in pertinent positions.

That if the USA wanted to get rid of Muslims they'd have a problem doing it?

I keep seeing people post how the US is out to get the Muslims. It is absurd. The reason it is absurd is because if the US really wanted to get rid of these people/countries they'd be gone already.

I am only interested in hearing from people who believe there is a higher power. Options include physically male, or physically female. I guess there is the strange chance that there might be someone out there who thinks it possible for God to be hermaphrodite. In spirit the options include, male energy, or female energy, or both. Please limit your answer to one of these six possibilities which I suppose could include a blending of the physical and spiritual possibilities. Remember to support you answers with religious text and or logic/intuition, as well as personal experience.

If you flip over the rock of American foreign policy of the past century, this is what crawls out ...

invasions ... bombings ... overthrowing
governments ... suppressing movements
for social change ... assassinating
political leaders ... perverting
elections ... manipulating labor unions ...
manufacturing "news" ... death squads ...
torture ... biological warfare ...
depleted uranium ... drug trafficking ...
mercenaries ...

It's not a pretty picture. It is enough to give humanity a bad name.

I asked where dinosaurs were mentioned in the bible 2 weeks ago. The best answers were mearly descriptions of large animals that are still around today. I was raised Roman Catholic which I abandoned the moment I had a choice at age 13. Then came Carl Sagan's Cosmos on PBS TV & I found a new religion in science.
After that I have read the bible twice in my adult life (Job is one of my favorites). It's good philosophy, no more. So is the Tao Te Ching, but without reading a NYC phone book. I think: THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN BY PEOPLE WITH ONLY THE KNOWLEDGE OF PEOPLE FROM THAT DAY & AGE. If it were in any way suggested by any superior type being: dinosaurs would have been mentioned or decribed WITHOUT doubt. Plus the world would not be flat, & the earth would be MANY MILLIONS of years older than 6,000 years. Any biblical description could be a giraffe or elephant to someone never seeing anything bigger than a camel, no? Plus a lot of things were fantacized to scare people into being good.

can it be a crime not to believe in something that has no definite proof? If you think rationally the answer is no. But it is said that people who don't believe in religion will suffer in hell eternally.
Shouldn't that be the only important thing: "behaving ethically and honestly"
İnstead of having faith or not..

In so many places within bibles Paul clearly contradicts jesus.Paul also contradicts many jewish laws. For example, he tells his groupies to ignore the dietary laws, tells them to ignore the sabbath day, and says to obey the rulers of the land.

YET, jesus says"obey no man". He also says, when asked if he came to change the laws,"Not one tittle."
Compare that with Paul's words!

The prayer "Kol Nidre," with its "marvelously touching melody, and, gradually increasing in volume from pianissimo to fortissimo", repeats three times the following words:

"All vows [], obligations, oaths, and anathemas, whether called 'ḳonam,' 'ḳonas,' or by any other name, which we may vow, or swear, or pledge, or whereby we may be bound, from this Day of Atonement until the next (whose happy coming we await), we do repent. May they be deemed absolved, forgiven, annulled, and void, and made of no effect; they shall not bind us nor have power over us. The vows shall not be reckoned vows; the obligations shall not be obligatory; nor the oaths be oaths."

The leader and the congregation then say together:(Num. xv. 26).

"And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them, seeing all the people were in ignorance"

Are we in any danger of a strike from this new asteroid?
....As we mentioned previously,... No.
The reason for this is more than just the trajectory of the asteroid, it is also a protection Earth is under where no life threatening or extinction level event will be allowed to happen because the Council of Worlds has plans for the Earth in the future as a home for those in the Service to Other and would not allow this to happen. So you may have fireballs. Fireballs are just a few little boulders thudding to Earth, that type of thing, or small rocks that might plunk into an ocean, be deflected to the ocean. But you will not have large asteroids striking the Earth, snuffing out life or destroying large land masses or causing extreme flooding along coastline
