I didn't know that most wars were fought over religion.

I strongly disagree with that view. I think there is a presumption that wars are fought over faith. But in point of fact its usually a smokescreen for other issues. A patently historic dislike of another tribe, lands that have significant resources that your neighbor has that you want. Perhaps someone beat your country in a war centuries ago, and now you want to turn the tables, or one country uses a trumped up "transgression of faith" to call war upon another, because they want to.
In most instances you could substitute a political argument, for a religious one and still fight on the same grounds. It's a thinly veiled argument to beat the crap out of someone you know you can beat. Just because you have the power to do it.
Lets not blame religion, when its man not God that chooses to wage war.

The disbelief is a relatively new thing- only now has it become socialy acceptable and I think alot of it is Because so many wars were fought over it. People see that it's just not really getting anywhere.

Most people seek an excuse for war or someone to blame . A lot of people believe in God , but are misled by unbelievers . Some people just use religion as an excuse for war

There is no Holy war. The holy war will be God with His angels... I don't know why Muslims are calling this a holy war when they are against their own.

People can believe what they want.
They are religious people... Christians are not religious... religious where the Pharisees and writers that used to follow the christian to killed them thinking they were doing a favor to God. The same way they are still doing it in these days.

Man created God out of ignorance and fear to explain primitive mans hardships. "God" is now used as a scapegoat by the Bush administration and Terror cells to promote their own political agendas. You don't have to fool all the people all the time, but if you fool the right ones the rest will follow. Do you believe that if there were a God, who is supposed to be the all loving and all knowing he/she would allow anyone to be killed in his name?Think about that the next time your in church and whether or not you're the one in disbelief.

Beats Me. Most wars are fought over wealth/power. Sammy bin Laden just threw the 'muslim' religion there to confuse all the illiterate muslims. I mean how stupid do you have to be that you'll have 40 virgins after you've splattered your 'winkie' all over the place wearing the detonated C-4 coat.

Jesus was or is not religious, And Jesus never subscribed to a War platform.
religions are ceremonious and self righteous. not God Righteous. they believe the fiscal things they do, will win them Gods Approval. Christians know , we are saved through faith.,and with out faith we cannot please God..Where faith is there is no need for War. We war not with flesh but with Spiritual wickedness in high places. Read Ephesians in the Bible.
