its hard because the palestinian people are part of israeli culture. they are ilke the illegal mexican immigrants of israel. literally, they have the same jobs as illegal mexican immigrants, and its very hard to get rid of them, since theyve been there so long. also, the world would look down on giving up peace. israel has tried many solutions. last summer, thousands of israelis had to leave their homes so that the palestinians could have the gaza strip and finally leave israel alone. This was NOT apartied, this was not unfair. the israelis gave the palestinian people their OWN COUNTRY. israel made a sacrifice so that the palestianas would stop killing israelis. after the first few months that the new "palestine" was in existance, it was pretty obvious that the new country woudl fall into chaos and run out of money. and it did. hamas, the corrupt palestinian government, didnt hold its end of the bargain, and kidnapped a 19 year old israeli soldier. hamas militants demand the release of 1000s of convicted terrorsts and murdereres from israeli prisons, in exchange for the soldier. the israeli prime minister refuses to listen to the palestinians and has ignored the 24 hour time limit given for this deal. i think israel shoudl just invade the gaza strip and re-take their land. no other country wants to take the palestinian people, so israel cannot kick them out to anywhere.

Try being less one sided. The Palestinians are fighting to get their homes back. Many were forced from their homes when Israel attacked neighboring nations, and took land. This land was the home of many Palestinians. Israel wants peace yes, in the form of all Palestinians surrendering to them. That kind of peace is what the Palestinians want to, only the other way around. Israeli police have many times used Palestinian civilians as human shields in fighting. The Israelis send suicide bombers and more to kill Palestinians. They are both bad, and I am on neither side. But I don't like hearing about how one is so bad, and not the other. Let them kill each other.

God, I wish someone would listen to you... Politics are everything here... The high ranks all care what the world thinks. If you just read some of the answers here, I'm sure you'll see that most of the world h a t e s us Israelis and just want us terminated (they just use nicer language!) It's been obvious for ages that the palestinians don't want peace, all they want is to kill us and take our land. Not just the Gaza strip, ALL OF IT! They want us d e a d! Like Eliyahu, the 19 yr old boy who was kidnapped and k i l l e d!
I wish more people would see the light. It's so hard for us here...

about seven-hundred,000 Palestinians were displaced in the course of the conflict for a spread of causes - some fled out of worry of coming near Israeli forces, some left because the Arab administration advised them to get out of how so that they could have the Arab armies slaughter the Jews, some were bodily forced to go away. It turned right into a conflict of annihilation that the Arabs had declared adversarial to the Jews, so it really is a few thing of a distortion to assert "expelled" as if there changed into no valid protective purpose to it. The Jews had a decision between "expelling" and being slaughtered. What may you do?

Israel and Palestine are bonded together on a number of social and economic levels.
It would like trying to unravel a knotted ball of string - to cut it would immediately solve the problem but it would leave things in pieces.

I agree that the terrorist-led government of Palestine doesn't want peace.
Besides, if every last Jew were killed, the terrorists would then find new targets.
They are just plain pissy people...and no other Arab country really wants them.

A pity that a few kindly Palestinians have to live in fear from not only their terrorist-thug government, but in fear of a stray missile from Israel.

Hmm..an illegal occupation from day one..Israel in breach of human rights acts...collective punishment, hermetically sealing the west bank..i think Israel is the problem my friends, not the Palestinians...

Ooh, a fact. Over 50% of the population of Gaza and the West Bank are under 15. Children. Israel is invading a devastated nation of children. Maybe the Nazis did win afetr all, they just swapped from Germans to jews. Ironic really.

Since when was isreal a country?Isn't it just a a state forced upon the people of Palestine after the 2nd world war?Surely a jewish retreat from the gaza strip would end the western war with the people of Islam(I am not a supporter of any religious faction but a realist)Please listen Mr Bush and Blair

when israel was created, palestin was splite into israel and jordan. the palestinians were expected to all move to jordan, but they werent accepted there or in any other countries around there. it was a way of keeping the hate strong because they want israel back, not just to have peace and it would be wrong of israel to just kill everyone. So the fighting continues

My sentiments exactly, but more than half the world doesn't agree, and can't remember what the Israelis had to go through in thepast 60 years just to survive. I say, blow them all to hell and beyond if they don't want to live peacefully. They can't expell the palestinians, though, since even other muslim, arabic countries don't want them because they are too violent.
