I'm not so sure people hate Christians. I'm usually amused by statements like this, considering that where I live, that's all there is... Christians. But even those few I know who are non's don't hate Christians... they hate some of the things some Christians do... which is understandable. Some people are a$$holes.

Just how do some Christians say "hate the sin but not the sinner"... but can't seem to handle when others hate the things they do? Hhhmmm

To quote my grandmother, " One bad apple ruins the bunch." I don't hate christians, muslims, jews, or any group as a whole. When I see someone that does my first thought is that this is not a very mature person. My second thought is this person has never been allowed to think for themselves. This is the root of the issue I think. To someone who cannot think for themselves what would be worse than watching someone else with the same problem, the only difference being the other has an audience, and the observer does not.

Some people do certainly hate Christians. Like any other form of hatred, it is based upon an ignorant assumption that *all* people who follow a certain religion must be alike. Which, of course, is not true, for Christians, Moslems, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, or anyone else.

Having said that, there have been many Christians who have done a great deal to dishonor the religion they claim to follow. Look at the history of the Crusades. Look at the forced conversions of the Jews. Look at the 'heretics' burned alive to 'save' them. Look at the Christians, right now, on this site, who offer up their *own* hate to other questioners.

A lot of Christians have done a lot to be ashamed of. I am not ashamed of believing in the teachings of Jesus Christ, who taught love, not hatred. I *am* often ashamed to call myself a Christian, because of all the awful things that have been done, and are still being done, in His name.

This is also very much like other forms of hatred. *No* group is all bad, but *every* group includes individuals who have done terrible things. If you point to those individuals, and blame their deeds on the entire group, you 'justify' the hatred. It is not really justified, of course, but that is how the process works, and why it is applied to Christians.

People don't hate Christians. Or if they do, it's not because they are Christian. In my opinion, there is a lot of stuff that you see or hear about Christians trying to push their religion on other people, like when people say "come to Jesus, it's the only way" or "the Lord is your savior, come to Him" or whatever. And that bugs non-Christians.

Some people hate Christians based on what they were taught to believe, the same goes for any group discriminated against. There is rarely a good reason for the hate, is simply exists. However, some excusses are that 'they hate me so i'll hate them.'

Not all people hate Christians, but the ones that do hate them is because they are doing the work of God and showing how the things unsaved people do is wrong ,and they don't like what they hear so they choose to hate them.

It shows Christ' doctrines are true and non else are. Christians get more hate from those who arent Christian than any other religion. It proves that all other religions came from the same beings, satan and man. You can believe any other religion and most are alright with you but if you speak of Christ, people get offended.

The Bible says that if the world hate Me then it will also hate you. People hate us because they hate God. Remember this: It is better that the world to hate you and better that God loves you and call you His own.

Stay Strong in your Christian walk.
