wrong isn't the right word, but just asking why does someone hate us, does that just increase the hate?

Why do you hate us is a wrong question, because if you ask anyone that question, they would instantly find many reasons to hate another.
You can find bad in anyone or anything if you tilt your head to the side, and squint your eyes just right. Ironically, it's harder for people to try that hard to find the good in people.

I think part of the problem is youth. It seems to me that most of the people asking "Why do you hate us?" are under 25 years old. Same goes for most of the answerers. For the questioner hate is a relatively new experience, so they reach out to their on-line community seeking answers. What they find are people not equipped to deal with another persons pain and confusion. The answerers have probably never had to deal with hate on the level the questioner has. Many of the young people answering these questions aren't really interested in finding out why someone feels hated. And they feel angry that anyone dare call them a hater. They take it personally. That's where they go wrong. It's not personal. I think some just don't care about the feelings of the questioner, or they think they're just looking for attention. I hope some of this helps.

Hate is a very emotion that should only be given if you absolutely loathe everything about that person's being. But to give it to a race because of what one man did is just wrong. I think the question increases the hate because they are questioning the hater, who has no good reason to hate that particular person

First of I'd like to say that you were one of the best Presidents this country has had, regardless of the stupid scandal that got blown way out of proportion.
As to "Why do you hate us?" is a wrong question, hate is a very strong word and really shouldn't just be tossed about. A better question might be, "What is your problem with us?", or "Why don't you like us?".

It increases the hate because the people that don't agree with you are angered by you calling their disagreement hate.

Not when it's genuinely asked. Some of us crave acceptance and it can truly be traumatic to discover that not everyone has that acceptance. It really depends who's asking the question.

Hate is something that should only be given in return.
