Whenever you get onto Yahoo, answers do you feel some of us are just, "frontin".I know there are different denominations and we all have different relationships w/ God. Though, I've seen some answers that are just wrong like, they need to get a log out of their eye. Some are pretty clear like the person sat with the bible in there lap and thought about what they're going to say. I don't know, maybe I just got the big picture. That Christians are a small community within this country.( By Christians I mean followers of Christ.)

Is being a Christian unpopular? It seems that way when I read some of these questions and answers. I had no idea that believing in God was that offensive to so many. It breaks my heart to read some of the things people say about God. :(

Why are the radical islamics allowed by the nation of Islam to take over and destroy Somalia? Muslims keep saying its wrong, but they do nothing to stop the slaughter by their own people. Why? If I hear one more time about Islam being a "peaceful religion" I'm gonna scream! For good men to do nothing in the face of evil is just as bad as committing the evil themselves.

PLEASE read all of this before answering:

there are certain answers that you might feel prone to say but which are invalid. invariably, some of you will still use these answers,, either because you didn't read this, or because you did but still think that those answers are appropriate. i assure you though, they're not.

1. please don't provide bible quotes. i'm not asking "what does the bible say". what i'm asking is "WHY do you believe what the bible says?". --- there is no quote in the bible that can answer why YOU PERSONALLY came to a specific conclusion. so please,,, i only want to hear your own words.. please..

2. please don't say things like "because it's true". this is an invalid answer. no one ever believes something simply BECAUSE it's true. they believe in things because other things lead them to those conclusions.

i'd rather hear answers like "because christianity makes more sense than other religions", but then you're gonna have to back that claim up.

What are the facts about the Jews of today? (I call them Jews to you, because they are known as Jews. I don't call them Jews myself.
I refer to them as so-called Jews, because I know what they are.) The eastern European Jews, who form 92 per cent of the world's population of those people who call themselves Jews, were originally Khazars. They were a warlike tribe who lived deep in the heart of Asia. And they were so warlike that even the Asiatics drove them out of Asia into eastern Europe. They set up a large Khazar kingdom of 800,000 square miles. At the time, Russia did not exist, nor did many other European countries. The Khazar kingdom was the biggest country in all Europe -- so big and so powerful that when the other monarchs wanted to go to war, the Khazars would lend them 40,000 soldiers. That's how big and powerful they were.

They were phallic worshippers, which is filthy and I do not want to go into the details of that now.

Of course not you guys are religious nuts, willing to die and kill for a unproven belief.

Anyways, humanity had a good run, we polluted the oceans, depleted our resources, and basically put countless animals on the endangered specie list..

Hooray for Religion!!!

Each religion's holy book provides "rules" to live by, yet they are all so different! How is it that one holy book is right and all others are wrong (depending on your chosen religion).

While Paul spokest much of chastity and purity for religious men, I spoke nothing of it. Could it be possible that I was in love with Mary Magdelene, even though there is little evidence to support this? Why be sure eitehr way, and simply accept that you will not know thy truth untill thee accend to my Father's kingdom?

May the mercy of God, and love of his infinite patience be upon you. Amen.

how does a person beleive in a god that will send you to hell if he loves you so much, i mean would your mom set you on fire if you do something wrong. also if you live in either heaven or hell for all eternity after you die, why should 1 life decide a fate for eternal suffering in hell. if other people decide to think differently from what the church teaches is it a sin. is it a sin to choose your own beleifs if so does that mean it is a sin to be lost and confused.i beleive that god is not a human being but an energy of purity and truth that created everything and maifests itself in all of us , i also beleive that we reincarnate and in each life we shed our ignorance and become closer with our inner god, this is what jesus originally taught before the bible was written hundreds of years after he died.
isnt it possible that maybe people misinterpreted his teachings and turned it in to something its not. am i a sinner for beleivng this.

Where in the Bible did the Church find quotes against a heliocentric solar system?

Joshua 10:12-14
2 Kings 20:11
Psalm 104:5
Psalm 93:1
Ecclesiastes 1:4-6

Now, all I am saying is the Church at that time said no the Earth is in the center of the solar system, not the sun, based on these Bible quotes.

Some people today say there is no evolution of man, and reference Genesis.

Now we are all intelligent adults here, and we know the Church misinterpreted the Bible because obviously the sun is in the center of this solar system.

Now some of us are saying evolution, and some say no because of the Bible, using Genesis for example.

Is it possible that this also is a misinterpretation, as it is of the above Bible passages, which were used to say no the Earth is in the center of the solar system.

I am looking for a spell to collect a debt owed to my fiancee. The person has owed him this money since November and I am starting to lose my patience (the debt is nearly $300). Does anyone have a spell for this? It would be even better if it is one that you have tried!

so many answers that prove people don't know where they are standing on.I'm not making you believe in God I am just saying if God created humanity he made some people smart enough to create science ( which at the end will destroy us ) then do you think that God just made the whole story about the bible because he was bored and why do one thing leads to another???

15 And these hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine and excess of hunger.

Refers to eating meat...I am also aware of the scripture in D&C 49:18 And whoso forbiddeth to abstain from meats, that man should not eat the same, is not ordained of God;

So does that mean ---that Yes it is OK to eat meat ---IF it is in time of famine...(and otherwise not at all----notice the word ONLY in v. 15)?

I don't understand why people leave offering at the feet of statues or shrines when they obviously can't eat them! If these statues/shrines were really an embodiment of God then surely the food would disappear and not be left there rotting. Just wondering.
