Saying God was jealous is saying that he's human. He's not. He's love, unconditional. What could he possibly be jealous of anyway? Seriously.

Have no other God before me because I'm a jealous God? Yeah, and that was when every religion back then had multiple Gods for multiple aspects...nothing like trying to scare everyone to believe in one bad-***, wrathful, mean God. Oh...wait a minute...who's the God in the New Testament? Most certainly not the same God of the Old. See?

Like the love of the people he created!
He's gotten jealous over people worshipping false gods; things they made with their own two hands. Read the old testament. God got jealous quite a bit. No wonder he developed such a bad rep as a wild smitin' furious son of a gun.

God was jealous when the Israelites after leaving Egypt going to promise land built an idol - golden calf - and began to worship it. God is jealous of us when we worship the devil after he had paid such an high price for us because he loves us we then choose to love and obey Satan who only wants to kill us. How would you feel if you died for girlfriend and when you are risen back now she chooses to love the person who killed you instead? God loves us so much and he paid the highest price for us.

Our GOD is a jealous GOD.

He created us, and because he knows far more than us, he has every right to be whatever he states that he is.

We belong to him, does not matter if you dont want to belong, you can run away from your family, but that does not stop the fact that you have a family.

Well, I question your premise. God is "jealous" when we take worship of him which he is the only one entitled to and give it to something not deserving of such praise. As such, God is reacting to our bad decision (which we have the right to make).
