If you flip over the rock of American foreign policy of the past century, this is what crawls out ...

invasions ... bombings ... overthrowing
governments ... suppressing movements
for social change ... assassinating
political leaders ... perverting
elections ... manipulating labor unions ...
manufacturing "news" ... death squads ...
torture ... biological warfare ...
depleted uranium ... drug trafficking ...
mercenaries ...

It's not a pretty picture. It is enough to give humanity a bad name.

so true, There was relative peace in the Middle East when the Ottoman empire was in control. Yet the United Nations decided where the lines would be drawn so that they could control the area.

They did not think about how the people in the areas they were throwing together would feel about each other

Then when things were not going the way they liked they would invade, overthrow the government, pay people off, in Egypt they made the people addicted to opium, and countless other offenses.

But most do not know the history because they do not bother to research the history but only listen to what the news has to say.

Nothing, Muslims have brought about anything that you seem to be claiming all by themselves.
bombings, overthrowing governments, suppression, assassinations, perverting thought, death squads, torture, biological warfare (remember Saddam and his own people?), drug trafficking (Afgani Heroin is some of the purest in the world).
Don't blame the USA for this; we are the only country out here that is made up of all people from all over the world. So we are just a mirror for people to look at themselves.

definitely. Not only that, but we are the only country that has ever used an atomic bomb, and we go around saying that countries have weapons so they can get oil. I mean look @ North Korea. They just launched like 10 missiles, but they don't have oil, so we're not doing anything but giving lectures on how it's a global problem. In Iraq, Bush attacked without UN agreement. Now the whole world is ticked off and the government only talks about NK behind their backs. If u think about it, it's sad.

I agree with you - surprising as that may be.

It does not give humanity a bad name, because there are billions of people in this good world who stand up to atrocities - whoever commits them. We need to concentrate on the good works of these people.

And remember that evil comes from all places and good also comes from all places. Don't condemn the millions of good Americans for the acts of the bad Americans.

Peace will win in the end. Try to join the side of peace.

Look at what radical Muslim clerics have done to the Muslim world: Sunni killing Shiite, Muslim insurgents killing just about everybody, the regression of women's human rights to little more than cattle. Yes, of course it is all America's fault that the Iraqis can't get together enough to rule themselves, and we just love staying unwelcome and dying in their country while they bicker faction against faction.

Junior High hoodlums are more mature and responsible than what we see daily in Iraq and Afghanistan.

the muslim world has been around for the past 1400 years, long before america even exsisted. So blame yourselves as too where you are today.. it is not the fault of the west, or anyone else. Islamic countries are in the state that they are in, because of islamic actions and culture.

Elections? Labor unions? Since when did these things exist in Muslim countries?

I just had my lunch, so I'm in no mood to read anti-American rants.

I am not trying to justify what terrorists are doing, but I wonder, are you guys (American) really too stupid to understand the fact that all those terrorists became what they are after you JERKS invade their countries?

Well, he was right for once. LIVE AND LET LIVE YOU IDIOTS AND STOP BECOMING OIL VAMPIRES and maybe you'll see the difference and Allah knows best.

The problem here is the same on both sides. It is mistrust, hate, lack of understanding, lack of tolerance, and misconceptions. Just check out the first two responses if you don't understand what I am saying. I hope someday we can all just get along for heaven's sake. WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!!
