with the plethera of evidence that homosexuality is prevelent, indeed comon place in the animal kingdom, it is now being acceptaed that this behaviour is evolutionary and is not an evolution deadend as previously thought.

some examples

Male big horn sheep live in what are often called "homosexual societies." They bond through genital licking and anal intercourse, which often ends in ejaculation. If a male sheep chooses to not have gay sex, it becomes a social outcast. Ironically, scientists call such straight-laced males "effeminate."

Giraffes have all-male orgies. So do bottlenose dolphins, killer whales, gray whales, and West Indian manatees. Japanese macaques, on the other hand, are ardent lesbians; the females enthusiastically mount each other. Bonobos, one of our closest primate relatives, are similar, except that their lesbian sexual encounters occur every two hours. Male bonobos engage in "penis fencing," which leads, surprisingly enough, to ejaculation.

I do believe in paranormal stuff but I'm a little sceptical about the whole psychic thing! But this is what happened and my mom thinks it is premonitions, I think it is coincidence! I had a dream about a fire and my dad came home that day and said that one of the old antique million dollar homes in town had burn down. Then I had a dream about the space shuttle exploding (I thought is was about the challenger) so I was asking my mom a lot of questions about it and then we watched Columbia and we were like whoa!! I still say coincidence. Well my boss hasn't been feeling well and he is really stressed out and the night before last I had a dream that he had a heart attack! And when I came in yesterday a co-worker said that he had suffered from a mild heart attack! Is this a gift or coincidence? And if it is a gift how can I get a handle on it! Or am I just a loony? If you have these abilities could you please help me with a little more info about what I am experiencing! Thanks!

We come here, do some job, live our life and one day we go. We take nothing with us. Then what we gain? What is the purpose of life?

Clothes are meant to conceal not reveal ones body. We women are called to a holy apostolate of motherhood and we are the moral compuses of society. Shouldn't we conduct ourselves as befitting women of Christ?

What if there were no photographs of astronauts walking on the moon, interviews with the astronauts or moon rocks. Would you believe man had walked on the moon? If a person opposes even the possibility of there being a God, then any existing evidence can be rationalized or explained away. To bad they didn’t have cameras back in the day!

I have seen alot of muslim woman who are NOT opressed....infact alot of them are FIESTY and HEADSTRONG. They have RESPECTED CAREERS and are RESPECTED.
Sure in some Islamic countries there are opressed woman BUT purely because of ARAB CULTURE.

I have read parts of the Quran, NOT Hadith, concerning woman I have no problem with it. BTW, I am a Christian woman. Most of the Quranic verses have been MISUNDERSTOOD by people INCLUDING muslims.

"Among His proofs is that He created for you spouses from among yourselves, in order to have tranquility and contentment with each other, and He placed in your hearts LOVE and CARE towards your spouses. In this, there are sufficient proofs for people who THINK." (30:21, if Im not mistaken).

So why are people still thinking so bacward(and they say Arabs are backward)?

On a recent question I made the comment that to say "there is no God" is stating a negative in the absolute. (like saying "there is no gold in China)--saying that you would have to have "infinate knowledge to say there is no gold.... or there is no God, that by definition that would make you God. One athesist made an intresting point..saying to say "there is a God" is a positive(correct) and that I have to also have infinate knowledge to say there is a God. My question is "Does saying "there is a God" assume infinate knowledge??" How does acknowledging a statement differ from rejecting a statement? Hope this makes sense...

it's amazing:
Adam was created from no man or woman (was created in the direct image of a man by God),
Eve was created from a man (Adam's rib),
Jesus was created from a woman (his mother Mary),
and we were created from both a man and a woman (our moms and dads)..

I think that Christianity might be polytheistic, even though most people probably might not admit it.

Both religions believe in different faces of one, true, ultimate power (for those who don't believe this about Hinduism and pretend to be above Hindu cosmology, I beg you to cite your sources). The trinity is thought to be something we mere wee humans cannot understand, but to trust that these are three faces of one force - as are pretty much all the Gods in the Hindu theology. The figures compliment each other, sometimes conflict, but are aultimately harmonious to the difficulties in the human experience.

I never understood why Christianity claimed to be monotheistic. At best, it (along with Hinduism) are Henotheistic, as opposed to strict polytheism.

Can someone explain this to me with a well thought out answer (no angry one-word answers, please), to explain the beliefs, for I've studied theology for years - just a critical explanation of Christianity as mono/poly/heno theism.

The God has created this whole universe and us on a nature.
We have some inborn emotions which develop after a certain time period automatically as per natural laws like sex. sex as an emotion is not bad but its wrong application is wrong like sleeping with other women. If u marry and have sex with your wife it is absolutely natural and fine.
We need to have peace of mind to become close to God. Don't u think that if we don't involve in sex and try to suppress this natural feeling created by God, then we can't become close to God because our mind will not be peaceful enough to concentrate. So if we are married we can better concentrate on God. Don't u think that this nun kind of cristanity concept is against nature?
