Is anyone else out there confused about religion? I grew up in the Jehovah Witness Religion. I went to that church from the time I was about 5 till I was about 16 yrs. old. My family stopped attending, for no real reason really. We just got busy with life. My mom still reads their literature and has faith in that religion. There are some things I do not agree with and for that matter do not consider myself to be a Jehovah Witness, but I do consider myself to be a Christian. Now that I've grown up (Im in my mid 20's) I'd like to start attending a church again, but I don't know which one. How do I research different religions without going to hundreds of churchs'? And is it right to just PICK a religion? How does one really know for sure that it's the RIGHT ONE and that it's the TRUTH?

God made man and gave him free will, in man's free will, he chose to go against God, therefore all humans sin. However, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we can be forgiven.

Why do people hate this concept?

I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating it is to try and debate with someone who has no idea what the counterpoint is about. I am just venting here more than anything, so please excuse my hostility. I am just so sick of the "Why are monkeys still here?" argument.

smoking, drinking, tattoos, dancing, sex, using bad language...etc... I am asking christians what you think about these things as pertaining to the bible. I know what the bible says on most of these issues, but I still would like to hear from others your opinions. Please be specific using verses if you would like. And please be serious about your answers. Thank you.

You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!" [Psalm 139:16]

Now here is my problem....everytime something bad happens Christians say it was God's plan. Now why does God allow abortion? If he planed our lives was abortioned planned by him as well?

Now I know I will get the answer that he gave us free will. Now how can a life that is determined by the choices we make day by day possibly planned?

as some sort of fearful person just by their remarks. God is a god to love who is forgiving shows love and understganding not revenge and damnation if one does not revert to the preacher's type of Church. I love God and at peace with him. I do not go to any type of church for this reason and practice my christianity by helping other human beings (and animals) we I feel are in genuine need.

The Bible speaks of 40 days of rain.

It's been raining where I live for 3 days straight and it has been devastating to homes and roads in the area.

What do you think?

I know God loves the sinner but hates the sin, so do you think if heterosexuals repent their evil straight ways before they die God will allow them into heaven? After all us gays are promised a place in heaven at His side.

Tacitus, Josephus,...are just some ancient historians who wrote about Jesus. Therefore he was a REAL person. The apostles were KILLED for spreading the Gospels! Would conmen die for a lie>? There were over 500 people who witnessed the risen lord in Judea, so there were many eye-witnesses who spread news of the resurrection! So why do some label Jesus as a "myth"

In Past, the doctors they thought that only the brain was responsible for feeling of pain. It is now we have come to know that there are certain receptors in the skin, called as ‘pain receptors’, which are also responsible of feeling of pain. No wonder when a patient of burn injury comes to a doctor, he takes a pin and he pricks it in that area. If the patient feels pain, doctor is very happy - It means It is a superficial burn, the pain receptors are intact. If he does not feel pain, It is a deep burn, the pain receptors have been destroyed. The Qur'an says in Surah Nisa, Ch. No. 4, Verse No. 56, ‘As to those who reject our signs, We shall cast them into the hell fire, and as often as their skins are roasted, We shall give them fresh skins, so that they shall feel the pain’. Qur'an says… ‘If your skin is roasted, We shall give you fresh skin, so that you'll feel the pain’. Giving an indication… there is something in the skin which is responsible for the feeling of pain –

There is no middle ground with Christ. You either believe in Him and accept all he says or you deny Him, spit on Him, and nail him to a cross. If you say you can't decide, you've already answered the question. So, which is it.

http://www.biblereflections.com/catholics.htm gives Bible verses contradicting the Catholic faith.

So I ask in response to my previous question, which is more important: the Bible or the Church?
