true christians don't hate science - which is the reverent study of god's creation. they don't hate science which is done by other christians (johannes kepler proved that the sun sits at the centre of the solar system for the honour of god) and they don't hate science which is done by non-christians (charles darwin began as a christian but led himself out of his faith via his studies - the myth of a deathbed recantation is a lie. darwin's respect for the world and everything in it steadily increased throughout his life).

false christians hate science because they hate everything to do with god. most of all knowledge and the gift of enquiry - the two characteristics which above all set man (god's greatest creation) at the head of his greatest work (the world).

I am a Christian and love Science the facts are the truth. and God is the Spirit of Truth. You must be talking about some religious sects who will not accept any evolution theory. I Know the Designer of all things. "The Mover and Shaker" Even Scientist know. Nothing moves until it is moved, God is the mover. We have evolved Since God Created us , thank goodness we or at least some of us , were smart enough to know. God had the Computer in plan ,long before there was even electricity. Knowledge is good. the Bible says above all things get Knowledge. & Proverbs 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge. "No Christians don't hate science "if they are wise." But they know in every thing there is a plan. and there for a Planner.

That's not it.Christians dont NOT believe in science it's just some things that go against what's in the bible.I love science and learning about how things come to be, but,I can't believe in the big bang or evolution.Things like these that are taught in science go against what I believe.Because I'm a christian(and I'm not speaking for anyone but myself) science is like having a best friend who is gay.I don't accept his homosexuality but every other part of his personality I love.Just like he may not agree with my views on abortion or whatnot.Without my bf I would fall apart. This is like a metaphor for science(except without science I wouldn't fall apart). So it's not that Christians hate science, it's the fact that so many scientific theories contradict the Christian religion.

I, as a Christian, do not hate science at all. And I do not see it as going against the Bible. If anything, it helps to prove what the Bible says to be true. I like science alot and enjoy studying it as much as I can. The only thing I dislike is when science tries to make a claim that there is no scientific evidence to solidly prove. At that point, science is no longer science, it is just assumption and speculation. I appreciate and admire true science and true research and greatly appreciate the advances that we have made in all scientific fields.

I'm a Christian and I don't hate science, actually I really am fascinated by science. I got really good grades in science when I was in school. So many people may hate science but I don't . I love science and I am fascinated by how the solar system and other things work.

Why would you even think that Christians hate science?

I LOVE science!!

Its through science that I have two pacemakers, that have been keeping me alive for over 12 years now. And, I hope to be alive a lot longer, because of new pacemakers that I will get in 2 more years.

If not, then the LORD will take me when HE feels its the right time for me to go.

I wish you well..

Jesse

Christian do not hate science... in fact for the majority of post-Roman empire history the church has been central to the collection and advancement of scientific knowledge. During the dark ages after the fall of the Roman Empire it was churches and monasteries that collected and guarded the knowledge that would have otherwise been lost.

All of the earliest universities where started and run by churches across Europe. It has only been in the last several decades where society has gotten the idea that being Christian equals being stupid and unrealistic.

That being said we Christians are quite often guilty of answering questions that non-believers ask us by saying "THE BIBLE SAYS SO!!!" instead of actually listening to them and truly answering why we think the way we do.

We DO definitely descend from monkeys. Discussing that is just as silly as claiming that the sun goes round the earth. Please get over it, it's a proven indisputable fact. And if you won't accept it, then much the worse for you. I recommend the film "Inherit the Wind" filmed as long ago as 1960, based on a real case which is even much older: 1925. We cannot be still discussing that eighty-one years later! The sooner Christians learn that all they've been living for is a lie, the sooner they'll be ready to move on, and the sooner the world be be better. I know it's hard to reformulate your entire life, but I'm afraid you need to, if you want to adapt to the reality in the twenty-first century.

Not all christians do, right wing fanatics that do not understand science... if you would have said this, I may have taken that as true. but get the facts then ask the questions.
I (which can only speak for me and me alone) believe that God is science. We are talking about an omnipotent being, to believe that God is not as smart as science, or that God could not create with a deeper purpose than what you and I can see and what scientists will one day discover with their God given talents is absurd. God is omnipotent, in my book that means more powerful, more scientific, and more mathematical than any scientist living, but I do love to watch as scientists unfold God's mysteries to us. Science is the closest thing in this world to God, so it is absurd to say christians hate science.

Science has always challenged the literal interpretation of the Holy Scriptures of Christians. Evolution is the most threatening science. They cannot get around their literalness with this Bible in their own minds, so they attack science, misrepresent it when they even understand it, demonize it, deny it, shout it down, whatever they can do to get rid of it, including claims that they are persecuted by its findings and conclusions.
