The Blood of Christ

The Divine Scheme of Reconciliation or Atonement as Originally Promulgated by the Apostles in the First Century.
There is no operation of Divine wisdom that has been so completely misapprehended and misrepresented as the shedding of the blood of Christ. Popular preaching brings it down to a level with the sacrifices of idolatrous superstition, by which wrathful deities are supposed to be placated by the blood of a substitutionary victim. Christ is represented as having paid our debts -- as having died instead of us -- as having stood in our room like a substitute in military service, or like a man rushing to the scaffold where a criminal is about to be executed, and offering to die instead of him (a favourite illustration in the evangelical pulpit).

Such views are contradicted by even the most superficial facts of the case; for if Christ died instead of us, then we ought not to die (which we do); and if he paid the penalty naturally due from us -- death --

i'm a christian and i don't know what that means-- but maybe we're all supposed to be disciples and follow him and have him form us?

in response to your dream of satan: i had a dream that i was camping with my friends and the fire we were sitting around at night started talking to us-telling us to do certain things. i knew the things it was saying was a bit off and wrong. so i spoke up.

the fire started questioning my convictions and said"why? why won't you do what i suggested."
i told him because of God
it said "what about God?"
i straightended up and looked straight into the fire and said "yeah, exactly. what ABOUT God."
the fire then sighed, and he turned to my other friends saying "i'll have to find someone with more evil in them"

i realized where i stood in God, i mean, i don't know exactly what that dream meant, but it meant something. i know there is opposition, anyway.

i'd say your dream was a good thing, and the devil telling you you couldn't was simply some type of hinderance.

it all sounds hoky but the thing is, is that there is so much in this world our eyes can't see. i refuse to reject it.

God Bless!

Yes we have dreams everyone has dreams. Sometimes a dream can mean something; like in the Bible God communicated to people through dream or visions. As for your dream I think it may mean that (as Revelations says) Jesus is coming back soon that's obvious but you can't be his one of his disciples cause he only had 12 that's it no more, no less. Pray about it and read the Bible maybe read some of the deciles stories. Remember to tell everyone the good news "He is risen!"

Yes I have dreams after I eat to late at night. I know that Jesus is come back by read His Words and I also know that I am going to meet Him in the air. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I also know that He gave ever Christian a ministry and made them ambassadors. 2 Corinthians 5: 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5: 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. You don't have have dreams to know what Jesus wants you to do. Study His Word. 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Everyone has dreams. If you had a vision you had to have been covered by the Holy Spirit. your encounter sounds similar to that of the apostle Paul. Good luck follow the Lord and be blessed.

Yes I've been a christian almost all my life and every night as long as I can remeber I've had vivid dreams. Almost everything in the book. One special one is that I saw my mom and dad smiling with angels around me and telling me that they were with the lord now.
