Do you know that you are saved from Hell, or not? If you belong to Jesus, do you believe that, if you sin today and don't ask for forgiveness, you'll go to Hell? Even if you're saved?

I just read this female's answer to a ? where she stated it was the wife's duty in the Bible to submit to the man... I just can't get over a female saying that....

When r ppl going to realize that there r things in the Bible that were written BY MEN in a time of no rights for women... the women were just as much property as slaves.. couldn't get educated, vote, own property, etc...

If ppl r going to follow every single word of the Bible without logic then what about in Genesis where it talks about the Supernatural beings laying with the normal humans. And where it discusses selling your daughters into slavery being acceptable. Or where it talks about redistributing wealth every 7 years.... I could go on and on.

Don't u have to say to those things, "Well those were the times..."

Why do ppl through all logic out the window when it comes to religion but at the same time, THEY ONLY PICK PORTIONS of their doctrine to follow to the letter?

BTW, I am a Christian.

I only ask this because as a Humanist I believe that all man/woman are born equal. Without manual indoctrination we have the ability of Natural Law. This tells us that we should not harm another being, steal from another being etc. It is within us to know Right from Wrong so why do we need religion to guide us?

Faith vs Fact:

Christianity, Islam, Judaiism, Hinduism...it's all religion. Why are such awful crimes carried out in the name of religion? If God does exist, why does he/she/it allow such crimes to occur? I've heard the free will argument to death - if god is love and is all knowing, and is omnipotent and is benign, then WHY, oh WHY would he allow such suffering?

My argument is this, maybe God is out there, but if he is, he's as flawed and scared and as nasty as the people who kill and opress in his name.

What's your view, I'm undecided...

Jesus said unless you are born-again, you will not see the kingdom of Heaven. Have you told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain. These are just 3 of the Ten Commandments. It's appointed unto man once to die, then judgment. When you die God will judge you by the Ten Commandments. If you've broken just one, then you owe a debt that cannot be paid, and you will be sent to Hell for an Eternity. God provided a way for you to be Saved from Hell. Jesus Christ died on a cross and rose again to pay the debt for your sins. You must Repent, which means to ask for forgiveness and turn from your sins, the put your complete Trust in Jesus Christ. Only then will you be accepted into Heaven, not because your a good person, but because your a bad, born-again person who's been forgiven. Give this some thought. Your Eternal destination depends on it.

This has probably been asked before. I have yet to see a creationist who studied evolution in depth (not just reading articles from Answers in Genesis) and said that it's a false theory. The King James Bible is a translation of a translation of the Bible using outdated words that have meanings that changed over time. The passage that says that the world was created in six days can be translated as six long periods of time in Hebrew. Pull your heads out of your arses, you can believe the Bible and evolution! The King James Bible has inconsistencies with earlier versions of the Bible.

Also, I am sick of people complaining about atheists controlling everything. Most of the people saying this are from the U.S. WHAT THE HELL?? All three branches of government are controlled by Christians! Is an invisible government made up of atheists controlling us or something? Grrr, you know, I give up, I'm moving to Chile.

What if Jim Darwin is the actual second coming of the Christ? Would we Christians believe in him? Or would we crucify him because of his ideas? Would we drop all our beliefs and follow his teachings? What if gravesendian was his disciple would worship in accordance with letters he wrote? Or would we behead him?

When Jesus came, he didn’t address the religious leaders of the time. He went to fishermen and a tax collector. His teachings were not popular with the religious people of the time.

i choosed to be muslim, islam is not just religion or way to communicate with god but it way of life ,actually it core of life
everything muslims make for god
shotcut we lfe with god .for god and by god. islam means in arabic is to surrender to god in very way .we dedicate our life to serve islam even when i study i do that to be an active member in my islamic society.
AND WHAT ABOUT U? what is the core of your life? what is the main thing in ur life that u work to achieve it?
