Going on the Biblical descriptions, the only way that you could miss the second coming is if you're suffering from complete sensory failure :-P

The rapture will come first like a thief in the night- no-one will know when it happens, then after the 7 years of tribulation - that is when the second coming will happen, and yes, everyone left after the tribulation will see it happen. People often get confused and think that the things that will happen during the tribulation is what will happen before the rapture, but his people will be taken to heaven before the world goes thru all that crazy stuff during those 7 years. I am glad I won't be around for it.

I agree with this person - ( I copied it )

) the rapture will be a secret, no one will know it's coming & people will just be gone

2) when he comes at the end of the 7 years, every eye will see him, all over the world, and all those raptured will be with him

It will be a secret, only the believers will see him, that is called the rapture. When Jesus comes for the third time, every eye will see him, and every knee will bow and confess that he is the son of God! Hallalujah! Praise the Lord for his coming!

He suppose to come like a thief in the night, right .And by the way how do you expect every eye to see him,for people like your self he'll probably be on Fox News on the Factor, then most eyes will see him.Or he may be a poor mexican trying to cross the border and might be gunned down by those patriotic minute men,I wonder if thier wives gave them that name!Better yet he may come as a black child in the so called ghetto of America and be mistaken for a thug on the street going to by his Virgin Mother a loft of bread from the store when two police officer approach him and decide to Rodney King him.Better yet he might denounce some of the practices of religion today and be called,Blasfimer!

Read your Bible:

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up." (II Peter 3:10)

No one knows when Jesus will return. This is why we need to draw close to his father and strengthen our relationship with God now and be prepared for his son's return to rid this earth of the wickedness that has overtaken it.

The second coming will be visible to all who are alive.
The rapture is a doctrine taught from several passages.
Try 1 Thess.4 & 5.

As usual the bible contradicts itself on this: One part says every eye will see him; another part says he will come like a thief in the night. Some rationalize this by saying ther are two comings. But how can there be TWO second comings?

I think you need to look in the Gospel of LaHaye. author of the Left Behind Series. Many Christians get their cues from him when it comes to end times.

As I see it, Christ specifically said that nobody would know the hour in which it comes. He said that we must remain vigilant. Love the Lord God with all you heart, mind, body and strength and it is of no concern how end times will be ushered in. God has a plan and it is good. We are to love Him and not seek to know that which Jesus said we would not know.
