It is not too surprising really. If you read enough, you will find there is no real historical evidence of Jesus at all. My guess is that no thought was given to making up stories about it. It was not important to the sheepherders who told the fable of Jesus to others. By the time someone got around to writing about it, they did not think about the "mundane" either.

Both "Da Vinci Code" and the "Bible" are works of Fiction. Had they been honest works of biography, they would be complete. A good example is: We know plenty about the life of Alexander the great, who lived and died long before the Jesus myth began.

Because the people who know him then didn't write a book. If there was one, then it didn't survive the years. They did find some letters written by people who knew him. They found it in Qumran(sp) but it was many years after the drafts of the Bible were written. One was a letter written by a man who He did carpentry work for. One was a story of how He made some clay pidgeons He made come to life when some kids were teasing Him. It was kind of funny actually. Don't tease Christ about His art projects!
But be aware that the 'Code' is complete fiction and his claims have LONG been bebunked. The publishers are just trying to make a profit (and they have) marketing by creating controversy and it worked through the media as usual.

The people who wrote the gospels were people that knew Jesus only during the period of his ministry. For some reason they found it necessary to investigate the occassion of his birth and one appearance as a child in the temple. However, they did not see it relevant to explore Jesus' teen/young-adult years.

I wish there was more material but there isn't. The followers of Jesus only knew him during his last 3-5 years of life and that is the stuff they focused on.

What do you mean? It's all about Jesus as a young adult. He never got to be an old adult since he died at 30-31 years old.

Read a book called the Jesus Dynasty. He gives some great theories as well as archaelogical fact.

His conclusion, which makes sense to me is Jesus and Joseph were kind of buisy during them years rebuilding a city that the King had ordered to be built. The size of the city, and the short time of which it was completed, there would have been thousands of stone workers there.

You can buy the book at Wal-Mart for like 14 bucks. Very good read.

They brought little children to Jesus and He told them to bring them to Him and not hinder them. Didn't mention Baptism. All the accounts of people being Baptized were people who knew what repentence was. Can a 6 year old? Maybe but not a 3 month old. It's not a sin to baptize babies but it really serves no purpose to someone who has no idea what's going on.

Satan the Devil uses ploys such as that movie to put doubt in the minds of Christians.-remember what happened in the garden of Eden?
Jehovah provides us with sufficient detail as Jesus' early life. After all,it is Jesus' baptism and ministry that warrants recording. The fulfillment of prophecies, the miracles, the reason for his coming to earth.
Jehovah has provided us with what we need to know so that we can imitate Jesus by learning about his faithful life course. We have been provided with the important details and that should be sufficient for us.

Becasue his early life was considered uneventful. Jesus just played the part of a good Jew, he grew up had his Bah mitzvah, he married (beleive it losers), then he realized his place as God's messenger at the age of 25, left his wife to travel wandered to many lands and found enlightenment and oneness with God, returned home and began to preach where we pick him in thwe bible.

It does relate a couple of scenes from His childhood. When He was a baby, when He was presented for circumcision, when He sat at the Temple and His parents couldn't find Him. All the other stories of His childhood are spurious and do not add any revelation to the mystery of God.
