Actually, the problem is that the evolutionists want to put their religion into a science class in an attempt to destroy the creationists religion.

Evolutionist would say that it is not hurting anyone, but it makes those who believe creationism look stupid.
Creationist say it is hurting people. Because if a person believes in the theory of evolution (except micro evolution, which is science) then it is OK for people to do anything they want, because it does not matter in the end.
But a creationist knows that there must be a creator, and that we are to live by His rules. To ignore those rules will only mean punishment and death in the end.
So it does matter.
FYI - did you know that evolution is a religion, because there is no more proof for it than that God exists.

Not everyone does. I don't. But I hear your point and I am just as fed up with the discussion as you are. One of the main reasons for the extended debate on Creationism vs. Evolution is that this discussion is being held by two fundamentalist groups that are rooted in a very similar position called modernity.
Modernity began about the same time as the Enlightenment in the late sixteenth-early seventeenth century. After the people learned that the Earth was no longer the centre of the universe they quickly reorganized their thinking and placed mankind and human reason at the centre of the universe. If God's created Earth cannot be the centre (the loss of the Mideval worldview) then at least humankind shall possess the centre in our ability to overcome adversity by means of using our capacity to reason and think.
Thus modernity was born. Using human reason, scientists, theologians, and philosophers began to classify all of our knowledge and store them in their proper categories. The secular University is the best example of the modern worldview, where each subject has its own place, even theology. All knowledge must fit neatly together into a systematic whole... that is TRUTH.
The Creationism vs. Evolution debate is so fierce because both parties hold to this modern understanding of Truth, where all facts must be placed neatly in order into a complete whole, no loopholes allowed. Creationism is represented by certain Christian modernists who like to see Genesis as a science textbook and use it to find facts to place in their system of truth. Evolutionists are represented by certain scientists (some Christian, others not) that also try to place all the facts into a coherent whole; yet Evolutionists see the Genesis story as an implausible scientific story whose facts do not fit into the rest of the systematic whole.
This stubborn adherence to the modern worldview is what makes this debate so fierce among modernists who, in fact, have more in common than they would like to think: they share a primary loyalty to the modern understanding of truth... a concept that is beginning to crumble under the waves of postmodernism.

EVERYONE does not argue about evolution/creationism. It is only a small minority who do so. The rest have better things to do.

It seems to be all about perception,
Some prefer to see things from a Physical perception.
Others prefer to identify with a Spiritual perception, its a shame that we dont focus on all that rings true to our hearts, instead it often seems we would rather spend our time in dispute over who has the best ideas.
Peace,
