If you go by "It's a Wonderful Life", then everytime a bell rings an angel gets it's wings. Why would an angel have to earn it's wings?

Ok guys, this is a totally hypothetical question. DON"T TAKE IT SO SERIOUSLY!
I said "if" you go by it's a wonderful life!

I look at it the way a diamond crystallizes under very high pressure. That is the real world example we have to learn from like the inspiring story of "It's a Wonderful Life." The diamond earns its brilliance, dazzling, purity and strength from the transformation of the endurance and becoming something that gives us "awe" and "inspiration". I think that is why an angel must earn its wings.

Because angels are usally heartbreakers and they're the prettiest ones at that too. So before they can actually take the pleasure (indeed?) to fly, they'll have to prove that they're up to it. They have to break the hearts of a certain number of people and thats why they come to you in your sleep and seduce you like they're actually succubi instead of angels except that you dont know that your mind is tricking you so you think you're seeing angels and once you fall in love with them, they'd suddenly turn cold like ice and you're left alone mending a stupid heart because you've given it all you could and then suddenly some bells rang and it grew wings and flew away from while you sat (dreamt) there wishing you should have just caught it back and clipped its wings, but hey! nooo you were too stupefied, astonished and entranced.... But yea, theyve earned they're wings hurtin you. And theyve grown stronger and now they can fly. Fly away.

the whole wings concept came from the cheribum on the ark or the convant in the Old Testament. angels might have wings, but no living angels in the Bible did, but the whole concept of earning them is totally made up.

If you are talking about the Angels that are up in heaven, then I have to tell you that you are wrong, they don't "earn wings"

They are invisible creatures, hence, they do not have wings. You cannot see them. I don't know why we think of angels as creatures that are cuddly and have wings. They're not cupids.

It's superstitious fairy tale. Ordinary folks make it to heaven then need to be tested to prove their worthiness for wings.
In truth there are only two kinds of angels that are believed to have wings none of which are here on earth. They are devoted only to God. One kind flies around the throne of God singing His praises and the other flies between Heaven and Earth to report to God all that he sees.
The Arch angels are powerful beings and have no need for wings. The lesser angels haven't wings either they are simple spirits whom are driven by curiosity of man and their love of God to visit us here on earth.

That's just make believe. Real angels are spirits and have no need for wings.

They don't. The Bible doesn't even mention that they have wings. The idea is that we have to earn our way up in life. That's the basic idea behind it. Good question!

It is something that people made up. We don't know if angels have wings, or even if they exist, and we have no clue how it works.
