i have heard people for years now twist and use everyword written by man in this book filled with lies to tourment his fellow man and wish to set the record straight.
do not listen to what you see and hear but what is in your heart and if you hide from others and keep little secrets you are only fooling and kidding yourself.
If you must use the words of others to support your view you are not worthy of attention for those that have gone before you and those who are yet to come know not GOD but the GOD of others and have never found him in there own hearts and minds.GOD only wants man to live in peace not war to love and share not hoard and steal --to learn and share this truth ,not twist it for his own gain .man led by mans words and those who listen and take arms against there brothers surley miss out on knowing GOD the creator of all things .his mercy is tempered by his only message.
a prayer given to us by him forgive us our treaspasses as we forgive those who treaspass against us

There is your "Only" talk with God in a native tongue other then your own.

Then their is one that someone in the Church speaks in tongues, and someone inteript it .

Am I right?

I have had the Holy Ghost, and spoke in tongues,

I haven't yet seen where someone spoke in tongues and someone told what she/he was saying?

If he was a good teacher, you would follow the scriptures for what he says would be true. A good teacher does not lie, but teaches truth. And if indeed you believe he is a liar, which is implied by not following his teachings, then indeed he can not be a good teacher.

About dietary laws (pork, etc.), mixed fabrics and several other things... A lot of Christians say that Jesus negated those laws. Why are they still in the Bible, then? I know that the Old Testament is a Jewish source, but surely when it's bound together with the New Testament, it's intended for Christians and could be modified, couldn't it?

Also, isn't God's law eternal?

Genuinely curious.

In my religion(Christianity) we believe that God allows tough times and hardships in our lives to strengthen us and our faith.

It has been said when we give up and quit, we miss those blessings God had in mind for us.

My question to you is...

Can you think of a time in your life that God allowed you to be tested? Did it have a positive outcome on your life or did you fail?

What say you?

Why is there no existing records from the non-muslim arabs of the time? I can understand why there would be no record from the Jewish tribes of Muhammad's day, because if Muhammad did exist, and did murder all the Jews in the Arabian pennisula, then we shouldnt expect much left from those poor souls. But what about everyone else?

Why do we know for sure Napolean existed? Many reasons, but the strongest evidence of the existance of a historical personality is always the accounts of "other cultures". We have the accounts of Russians from Napoleans time, and the British. There is no way all these cultures, outside France, would simulatenously make up this person called "Napolean".

Other cultural accounts are most compelling because they are not self serving. If Pagan Moon worshipers insist that the Moon God is real because their own pagan records prove it, will this be enough? Of course not.

SO, its amazing to see no accounts of Muhammad outside Islam. Isnt it?

On the BBC news last night, they showed a black impoverished widowed Sudanese mother of eight living in a parched wind blown desert tent in a refugee camp. She stumbled across a little boy nearby in the bushes by himself alone and took him as her own. If there is a God, I’m sure he smiled and she will have a place in heaven before you and I.

Would you or any other religious person "you personally know" be willing to do what she did now, remember she has absolutely nothing compared to us? I'm going to hell, how about you?

Only satan would use scare tactics to forse people to believe, God uses faith and good, how can someone confuse this, God does wonders, and this allah claims to have destroyed cities to make us believe, that doesn't sound like God, God wants non-believers to come to Jesus with their sins, Allah said burn them, how come these people cannot tell the difference, common sense can be that blind, The Quaran is using scare tactics to the christians, now I see why terrorists are coming after Christians, It is the work of Satan, not allah, brainwashed, completely, but God still holds open arms for any one that will see.

It can be more than one.

If your not a Christian, feel free to share your thoughts as well, what words or stories had a positive impact on your life?

It says in the bible that a true Chrisitan believer can drink deadly poison without being harmed.

Either there are no true Christian believers on earth

or

Someone (not God) had something to do with the writing of the bible.

This denomination is known world-wide, and is considered "Charismatic".

This denomination stems off from Methodist.

This denomination doesn't practice the sacrements on a regular basis, however; they don't see anything wrong with sacrements.(They just don't feel they're 'nessesary' for Salvation, etc.)

This denomination believes in the Trinity.

This denomination is also recognized as a Charitable organization.

(more clues to come later - based on answers.)
Good Luck, and God Bless.

It seems to me that Christian men (and no I am not referring to being extreme here) don't exist. I don't think that any men still want to follow Christ because they don't want to go against the grain of popular opinion, and Chrisitanity is definatly against the grain of popular opinion. I don't see any people who truly follow the Bible only the parts that they like.

not politics as in government, but I am seeing a lot of people bashing on others religions, because they have thier own beliefes. can't you just let people pick what they want to believe in and let them be if you disagree?
does anyone else see religion as a gamble? you pick one and hope you picked the right one? does anyone else think we should enjoy this life while we have it and stop hating others for thier beliefs?
CHRISTIANS, STOP HATING WICCANS, THEY HAVE SIMILAR BELIEFS AS YOU! AND MORMONS, STOP HATING CHRISTAINS! CATHOLICS, STOP HATING MUSLIMS! GEEZ!
do you follow?
I am a non politicall religionist, I believe in what I believe in. so lynch me for it. I am none of you, adn my gamble is my faith in the higher power is stronger than any bigot religion.

It is silly that we assume such things. Maybe God is taking his revenge on the fact that we are killing all of these chickens with the weather and bird flu.

I am a Christian and I see a lot of religious answers that bind people that God didnt not say in His word. For example did God frown upon the kings in the OT that had multiple wives and mistresses? No his focus was on David and the fact that he had Bathsheba's husband killed and God punished him because he manipulated the situation. Did God punish him for lusting after bathsheba? Did he punish him for having sex with her? No God didn't so therefore those acts were overlooked by God because it isn't sin. Jesus made the water into wine after they had drank it all up! Im sure they got drunk! The "religious leaders" will tell you that getting drinking is a sin right? Well it isn't because Jesus did it! Its a sin if you take it to the extreme of not supporting your family, not feeding them, not paying the rent then you are not doing what God ultimately commands and that is to love God, love others, as you would yourself. God isn't about religion in which was created by man. Think about it..
