Why didn't the camera people do anything to help? B'stards. I hate the BBC me, they take all the money of TV licensing and do bugger all with it!! There's an example of someone who should go to Hell. Just standing by and watching a scene like that!

i hope the "yeah, but did she accept Jesus as her savior?" response was a joke. I don't believe in god nor heaven but will say if anyone deserves it i don't think it will be from blindly following a religion but earned by good works such as from that woman on BBC. If there is a heaven i still don't think I'd be worried myself I have no shame in what I have done in my life. Far from perfect but I'm only human and have done the best with what I've had to work with. I simply don't do many things that I would be ashamed of in front of god or anyone. I certainly think I'm more worthy of heaven than those that steal, lie, rape, assault, etc and then as a backup ask for god's forgiveness and think they will be saved... that's some screwed up catholic/Xian thinking if you ask me to think murders on death row that ask for god's forgiveness are more worthy than a nonbeliever that just doesn't' believe because he hasn't seen any evidence of god. I don't see myself as rejecting a god that i don't believe in or have any evidence of. Anyway this is also a question to the rest of you if you believe the same or really think blindly accepting Jesus or a religion is the only way to your heaven?

No, we are saved, once we come to Jesus Christ, once we are saved, and ask for forgiveness for our sins, every one has a spiritual gift through the Holy Spirit, and each one is different, as in church, its not how much you give, some people can give more than others.
If I was faced with an opportunity to help someone, I'd like to say that I would, and ask Gods help in doing so. If we are kind of heart, and believe in our savior, we are promised eternal life, God cannot lie, God is incapable of sin, that is why we are seperated from him unless we have Jesus Christ because it is the only way to God, and the Kingdom of Eternal Life. We are Gods Children, and he loves us just the same, and proved it by sending his son as a sacrifice for our sins, so we could be close to God.

Jesus was teaching about separating the sheep from the goats.
It basically boiled down to whoever has done good for the least did so to the most high, and those that didn't, ignored God.
"For many is the time we have entertained angels, unaware".
Blessings to the lady a prayer of concern for the hard hearted reporters.

Truly I believe there is a special place for such as this woman in heaven, but don't forget that God intends for us to be stewards for him on this earth. If you have been given much, I truly believe that God intends that you do much with it. Remember the parable of the master who gave three of his servants some of his money to care for while he was away. He gave each of the servants different amounts to care for, and each of them had different reactions to his largesse. Just remember that the kingdom of Heaven has many mansions, and there we will find ll of God's true servants. Don't ever rule yourself out of it...I did once, and had no idea how great was God's forgiveness. On the other hand, the lady in Sudan is an excellent example for all of us.

Did she do it to earn a place in Heaven, or did she do it out of compassion for the child...? If I relied on all the many 'good' things I have done, I too would be bound for eternal hell.
But it is not what I have done-- rather, it is what Jesus has done for me. He saved me. I didn't have anything to do with convincing Him to save me. What did you expect me to do-- tell Him, "No, wait, I can save myself, give me a little more time"...? No, when you're drowning, you grab your Rescuer's hand and hold on!
There is a God. I'm sure he smiled, too. I look forward to meeting that woman someday, and her new child. I don't expect that I will be allowed to be as close to God as she will be, once we are in Heaven, but I hope I do meet her. She sounds worth meeting.

As a catholic, it is my belief that whether or not anyone has heard of god, if they do what they truly believe is right, and work for the truth and give of themselves, they automatically do What god wants of us all. All He wants is for us to love others. She has demonstrated what the christian is supposed to do.
Remember, being a member, doesn't guarantee entrance...it only shows you the way. ;)
Now it's up to us to do in our lives what that sudanese woman did in her own life...we all have our paths to follow and our decisions to make as we come across adversity...

Isaiah 64:6 states our righteous deeds are like filthy rags before the Lord. No one is going to heaven... because Jesus says that our righteous deeds must exceed those of the Pharisees. Matthew 5
We don't get there by deeds but by grace... You must accept Jesus' death for your sins and repent and make Jesus the Lord of your life... and follow His example. Read the book of Romans... it will help you understand.

Saints are few and far between. You're lucky you got to see one, even if it was on tv. People like that make us all look bad, but they also encourage us to do things we normally would not do.

A child. Innocent and helpless, an expression of heaven. That's why child abuse really is the one way ticket to damnation.
