7 if "bear false witness" occurs under oath in a trial . . . but . . .

Rape, molestation, vandalism, causing physical harm to someone (short of death), arson, spousal abuse, taking drugs, selling drugs, incest, drunk and disorderly, indecent exposure, prostitution . . . ?

These are all "okay?" As long as you:

"Do not make a sculpted image or any likeness of what is in the heavens above..." or

do not "use the Lord's name in vain" or

do not "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy"?

What the . . . ?

I certainly don't spew out 'facts' about the bible that I know nothing about. So why do some non-scientific types insist on saying "well evolution is not real, because clearly you can't see it nowadays" or "evolution doesn't makes sense, because the eyeball is obviously too complex to be made from evolution". Blah, blah, etc.

Why don't they take some classes in evolution before they rip it up? What's the point in arguing something when you clearly don't understand the theory behind it?

I've heard several non-Christians state that they believe Jesus was a wise man or prophet, but not the Son of God. If this is the case, why do they hold him in such esteem when he blatently claimed to be God's own Son?

I have heard from some people that you should see the Da Vinci Code. This way you can have the knowledge first hand when discussing the fallacies. Yet, in the bible is say to watch what you see, hear, etc. I'm just curious on varying CHRISTIAN opinions. Will you or have you watched it, and why or why not?

It takes a ton of depressing faith to believe that somehow by some biological miracle a monkey or ape became our parents. Just watch the National geographic channel,,,that is one uglyyyyyyyyyy bunch of creatures...I took a quick look at myself after I got out of the shower the other day....I saw no resembling commonalities...but just looking at my .curves and my eyes as they looked back at me in the mirror made me have an awe moment....I see an artist at work in my shape...more talented than the italian sculpters...this one makes statues that breathe and laugh....and love and kiss...and think and plan...and worship Him who made us all...sweet Jesus.....I also thought of what a minimal amount of time it would take me if my bf was an atheist...I would give him enough to think about for a million yrs...just seeing my complicated soul at work...He would eventually swear there was a God....

The Cannon of the Original Bible was closed forever by Pope Innocent 1 in 405 A..D. In the 16th century, Martin Luther threw out 7 books in the Old testament. Isn't this an offense against God and his holy book? I wouldn't want to be Luther right now!

Greenday - Wake Me Up When September Ends
Here comes the rain again,
Falling from the stars.
Drenched in my pain again,
Becoming who we are.

Lifehouse - End Has Only Begun
What you do
No one can decide it's up to you
and who you are is what you choose
These times when the world falls apart
Make us who we are

We know that people can be brainwashed. We see so many plain examples. But why doesnt the brainwashed person know it? Is it because hes brainwashed?

Are you brainwashed? NOOO...you say!

Ok, how do you know?

The first question would have to be >>

"Are you so saturated in some belief system, that you believe its infallible and thus never really weigh different views but just give angry or desperate knee jerk reactions, thinking that you know they are wrong, but just cant prove it now"

Heres an example of what a brainwashed person says (real example) "but, without Islam, I couldnt breath"

I actually had a Muslim say that to me, after I showed him disproofs of the Quran he had no answer for. Actually, I am not bashing him, he was at least willing to listen, and fully expected the Quran to survive the analysis, but when it didnt, he gave a beautifully honest and deeply telling gasp of "I couldnt breath without it"...like a lament...

So telling...so very telling.

the oldest known versions.

See this article.

They threaten to kill people for discovering the truth.

Their own guy, Al-Tabari, the original "satanic verse" writer, is alos their own renown Koran theologist.

Their own man discovered the satanic verses, acknowledging the pagan moon god, Alilah's 3 daughters, giving them god status in Koran, before they removed, shortly before or after Mohammeds death.

Im just tired of Muslims saying their book is unchanged, when they know it has. That is why they wont allow people to evaluate the oldest version of the Koran.

From some of the posts on this site to those lunatics who picket at funerals holding up signs that say "God hates fags", it seems like so many Christians are not following the tenets of their religion. How about "judge not, lest ye be judged" and "let he who is without sin, cast the first stone" and "turn the other cheek"? What would Jesus think of his followers if he came back today?

If the New Testament was written during the first century and not compiled and declared inspired until about 400 AD, then how did the early Christians living between 33 AD and 400 AD get by without the Bible?

Thanks.
