I have heard from some people that you should see the Da Vinci Code. This way you can have the knowledge first hand when discussing the fallacies. Yet, in the bible is say to watch what you see, hear, etc. I'm just curious on varying CHRISTIAN opinions. Will you or have you watched it, and why or why not?

I am mature enough in the FAITH(my WALK with GOD) to watch it. I am kinda looking forward to it and will watch it like a good mystery flick!!!! I will probably spot most of the error's in it so I probably won't get decieved and tripped up, and I will probably PRAY for GOD to keep me from ALL DECEPTION befor I watch it, if I don't forget. IF you have any FEAR's about WATCHING IT, then grow stronger in the FAITH WALK, and watch re-run's later. Wouldn't want satan decieving you and causing trouble in your Walk with GOD, course HE would help you later(get out all of the trouble-some deception's in your mind that you allowed to come in by watching it) it is up to you----free-will---GOD BLESS you if you watch it(to keep the deception's out) in JESUS NAME!!!!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with watching it, it is just a novel made into movie. And it's not like Da Vinci was a prophet or anything. I don't know much about it but i'm curious too. I think I'll see it.

Some of the answers given here gives good advice. But as for me, I won't be watching it...not because my faith is not strong enough but on the contrary, every day I meditate on God and the teachings of his bible.
The Da'vinci code is just another of man's way to make money at the expense of some peoples faith and belief, because not every one is as strong as some of us are. I've seen the Da'vinci code before in other forms and I remember one movie long ago called the "The temptation of Christ" which basically said the same thing about Jesus and Mary Magdalene, so I've seen it before..... but I am more of a comedy/family type of movie viewer. But I'll say one more thing.............
Some years ago I was very deep into Art and Leonardo Da'vinci was one of my main studies and from what I remember, He was a man that always did put controversy into his creations. He literally did things to cause controversy and contradictions, and he also did things so that people could not reproduce or unlock his secrets. He especially did things that would draw attention to his art work. He would also hide art in his art and create codes to throw people off of what ever trail they were on to finding the inner workings of his master pieces...... So knowing this, makes me laugh a little at all the people who are caught up in this whole thing because the biggest thing Leonardo was trying to accomplish in life was to live forever and every time people would get caught up in any of his creations.... it brings him back to life again.
So watching the movie or not to watch it is totally up to the individual and it does depend on the motive to watch. Is it gain more knowledge or the contradicting of? ....or just for entertainment? either way, stand on the true knowledge which is found in the bible. Good Day.

If you really want to seek the truth, compare and analyze statements,so as to put out the doubt in your heart, watch or better, read it! Use your sense of faculty to find the truth. Never be a fanatic by being fooled by others who have no basis for whatever cause.

Everyone is held responsible for their own actions, regardless of what you see or hear. You make the decision of what to act on. If your gut instinct tells you not to watch it just from the previews then don't watch it.

You cannot make educated arguments against it unless you have watched the movie or read the book. It is a work of fiction that we need not fear.

I finally bought and read the book. For anyone grounded in truth there is no danger.

If that's what you think, then you might as well disconnect your internet service. You might see some "bad" or "immoral" things on your computer monitor. Repent!
