lets face it, every religion has far-fetched theories. it's not right or wrong to believe them because it's not about "knowing", it's about believing. every religion requires a leap of faith. u have to go beyond what is rational and believe in things that cannot be proved by science. if u find urself unable to do so and feel they are all lies, then i suggest u stop claiming to believe in ur religion and try to find a religion or belief system that suits u, otherwise ur whole life will be a lie.

I'm not an MD. Md's differ with each other about what constitutes illness and treatment. My doctor's assessment could be untrue. How would I know? What if I am being fed lies? (or at the very least, what if my doctor missed something, or isn't up on his training, or fails to see that I need a specialist?)
Been there. Done that.
So I read and research to the best of my ability and I go with the choice that makes the most sense to me. It's my life. I pay the consequences of my choice.
Not choosing is still a choice. It still has consequences. Being angry that I have to make a choice is a choice. It also has consequences.
That's true in any area of life. There are always unknowns. We make choices every day without all the possible information. Or even though there is conflicting opinion or evidence.
As horrifically unscientific as it is, I go with what I honestly believe to be true after I've read what I can. I don't feel like I have to be a doctor to trust one, but I do want to read both sides before deciding.

Just as God's existence cannot be proven, neither can it be disproven. Ditto with religions. You can't disprove the existence of flying purple unicorns either. Just try. The best you can say is that you've never seen one personally and there is no scientific evidence testifying to its existence, past or present. But if I counter that you can only see flying purple unicorns if you believe in them, there's not much you can say in return except "nonsense." You can't prove me wrong.
If someone's religion is a lie, there's no way they'll find out until it's too late. In the meantime, all we can do is hope that people don't commit too many atrocities in the name of their fictional religions and ruin life for the rest of us.

That is why it is necessary to investigate beliefs you have been handed by your parents. Though sincere, that is not enough. John 4:24 says God is looking for ones who will worship him with spirit AND truth. Sincerity is a must, but only when accompanied by truth. And Jesus said in John 17:17 that God's word the Bible is "truth". Therefore, read the Bible daily and always make sure what you are being told agrees with the Bible. If it does not, avoid it. Knowledge is power.

How can you prove that it's entirely false? Religion comes down to beliefs and a personal relationship with God. If you know God, then there's nothing anyone can do to take that away from you, because you know it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Anyone can make a case for or against religion, but no one can prove to me that God doesn't exist because I know it in my mind and in my heart.

All religions are man made lies. The fact that it is spread with man made symbols tell you that it is purely a man made concept. The only truth is one that can be realized without the influence of man it can't be obtained through a book or the words or symbols of another person it can only be realized through an individual personal experience. One can't see by looking, nor will your desire to have it bring it to you.Blessed is the one who see's it for she/he embraces all of life without prejudice.She/he see's the life in death, the joy in sadness, the good in bad and the me in you. This truth can come to one without any man made influence. If however you have been programed to believe a certain way all your life it would require you to empty yourself of all that garbage before the the clean truth can be absorbed.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I'd rather err on the side of eternal happiness than the alternative if it isn't lies. Otherwise, I've lived a straight lace, happy life, that can make my children and ancestors proud.

you wouldn't if you were raised in a certain belief. so the best thing to do if you were unhappy and your spirit was agitated would be to pray about it. talk to God as if he were your best friend and tell him how alone and unsure you are. He will give you the direction you are looking for. just be patient after you pray and wait for his answer. "wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart"
