Decide this for yourself. Make a list of everything that you know to be a lie, and a separate list of things that you don't know to be a lie. It is within the second list that you will begin to see truth.

Because we live in a world of relativity, we could not know the truth, if we never experienced a lie. That is, we could not perceive the truth as the truth, if we never experienced something that was untrue.

Nor could we, for example, experience cold, if we never experienced hot. If it was always cold, it would just simply be, and there would be no other temperature to compare it with, nor any other name we would need to call it.

Truth and lies are all relative.

Truth is what has happened and what you have seen and what you feel about what has happend! Lieing is not saying what you saw saying something else blaming others being irresponsible and keeping from hurting some! Both are good and bad! If you were to tell someone about how you felt about a drawing adn you thought it was disgusting you would no say that you can say it wasn't your best or i would prefer others not that its disgusting!

A lie is any part of anything that is false, You can tell the truth, and have a small part of it be wrong, and it makes it a lie, just as we cannot be perfect if we have a flaw. Thats why we are all sinners because we all have flaws.

Each person has to figure that out for themselves. We all have that ability. I feel what is true for me and what isn't. I wouldn't call something someone else believed a lie. Nor would I accuse someone of lieing even if what they are saying has been proven untrue to me.

Truth and lies are determinable by each person's perceptions. I say that God is true and that Satan lies. However, I know that you don't believe in God so your truth would be better explained through sciences and lies are what Christians try to feed you. It is a matter of personal preference.

All life is a matter of perception. What you believe is true, on some level, really is truth in your life. It is only when we interact with others and their reality clashes with ours that our truth can become false. However, lying is lying. It's saying something you KNOW isn't true.

"Truth" & "Lie" are, unfortunately, almost entirely subjective.

Is love a good thing? What if it is a sex-offenders love for a six-year old?

Is murder a bad thing? What if you murder someone who has plans to release a dirty bomb and kill thousands?

If you are injured, and obviously you are going to die, is it a bad thing if I hold your hand & tell you everything is going to be okay, that help is on the way? I'd be lying.
