It is silly that we assume such things. Maybe God is taking his revenge on the fact that we are killing all of these chickens with the weather and bird flu.

We see him as human because people can understand that better. We like to stick with what we know. Plus I think the human race kinda has a big ego. We impose ourselves on the world, the environment and such, and we do the same with God. As for the man part, it's because it was a man holding the pen that wrote about God in that form.

Why do we assume that you are a human being? Because you are able to communicate with us (if not very intelligibly.) This argues against you being a bird, in that most bird-brains can't phrase their questions very well. (Hmmm....)

You seem eager to toss away a lot of communications to prophets who were reluctant to share what they were told in the face of tyrants, torture and death. If God speaks metaphorically of having a head, face, hands, etc.; and if God self-refers using the male pronoun (which is common practice all over the world for both males and females), why argue with Him?

You seem to be eager to suggest or imply that God has not truly spoken to people. Why should we assume that you have said anything? We were probably just hallucinating, and there is no such person as Ilovesunshine3.

God does not have the human condition of gender. I'm pretty sure it was human man who made God a man.

Because the Bible says that we are made in God's image. And we don't look like chickens.

we say that because genesis says that we were made in Gods image. of course like anything this can be interpretted in different ways, but i think its generally accepted that it means physical appearance and emotional qualities (like the ability to feel happiness, anger, and love)

God has no physical form beyond the body of Christ. 'double meaning intended'

This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm
